Leyland Adventures Chapter Ten: Part Three

Aradressa came at him ruthlessly swinging her blade with microscopic amounts of patience, leaving Tysashi with little to no opportunity to counterattack. This was one of her many offensive strategies, limiting the number of counterattack options for your opponent with a flurry of attacks. He continued to lift his hands to deflect her blows though his guard was close to shattering. It seems that his stubbornness only made her desire to land an attack much more powerful. With his eyes locked on her sword, she managed to land an annihilating abrupt blow with the tip of her heel. She hurried towards his soaring body, continuously keeping him in the air above the clouds before blasting him to the ground with an eruption of fire.

Before he could fully recover, Aradressa grabbed him and tossed him away near the Kula Outlet. Aradressa swam her hands through the air, creating and launching a level two tornado. Rising up, he saw the monster of wind ready to consume him. He created his own monster, battling Aradressa's creation. They clashed together like spinning tops, circling around each other and backing away with each strike. With the amount of biotic factors around them, the winds had to be underpowered to prevent destroying the peace.

The winds eliminated each other as their eyes locked, immediately dashing forward. Aradressa rose her shield to deflect the incoming punches before using her Supernova Roar; Tysashi attempted to fight back but the attack was too sudden and he got lost in flames. She viciously swung her sword however he managed to grasp it and pull her towards his ignited fist, attacking her multiple times before launching her away.

Blood spilled from her mouth as something clicked inside her. The death of a star was inside her...and it was released. Tysashi rushed over for another attack but she took hold of his neck, reducing the air within his lungs. Her wings fluttered and she took him up to the stratosphere. The wind pushing his body was intense but he managed to escape his captor and use his fire formation to transform into the Fire Phoenix to give him some control since they were above ground level.

The phoenix acted as a shield for Tysashi, he could change it into multiple animals and use them for assistance. But that begs the question, how will Aradressa land a hit if the creature is composed of fire with Tysashi acting as the core? Perhaps the bird takes as much damage as Tysashi, only one way to find out. For now, she desired to see his moveset to plan a strategy.

He shot bursts of fire which she avoided with ease. The necklace around her neck began to shine, the special ability was prepared. She held it firmly, a toxic substance was released from the jewelry, covering the area around them. The gas penetrated his phoenix and his nostrils, covering his face as he coughed violently.

His shield was no longer there as he couldn't focus to keep it there. With his eyes stinging, she aimed for the stomach to land a critical attack with her sword but suddenly, the Diamond Eye Necklace was activated and he saw a vision of the attack winning her the battle. His clothes barely touched the incoming attack, as if everything was in slow motion, he struck her down with the bottom of his shoes.

Her wings provided control over the descent and once again, an explosion happened inside her body. For a moment, flames orbited her being as her eyes were masked by her flowing pink locks. Tysashi was approaching with a fist that could destroy a planet and just as she felt the heat coming off his body...she snapped.

With time standing still, she unleashed a devastating series of attacks with her sword. Each strike surpassed the power of a supernova with unlisted speed. Time was able to walk again as the strikes immediately took their toll on his body, as if he was attacked by an invisible force. As a result, he began a heavy descent however his body was taken in Aradressa's hands as she safely returned him to ground level.

"You...won." His sentence was separated by the exhausted breaths he took, his eyes hardly open though he smiled.

She smiled with him, healing his wounds.

"Amazing battle, you did great."

"I'm afraid that was the beginning of my power, the environment we are currently in limits our full potential."

"Heh...yeah but I feel ready to fight Flora now."

"There is still the issue of traveling through the forest, the branching paths and poisonous flowers."

"You're right, are you sure about doing it today?" Concern was spread out in his voice.

She gave him the same answer, yes. If she was up for it, so was he.

Just then, the two were called by Marissa to report inside the castle. With questions spiraling their minds, they came to her need.

She gave Aradressa a yellow-orange liquid with a bottle while Tysashi received an amber liquid.

"Remember those items I told you two to receive, I needed them to make these juices that will help you walk through the forest. Aradressa, you have a liquid that will replenish your wings and grant you a temporary resistance to the poison for every sip you take. Tysashi, you have a liquid that will boost your energy since the poison is created specifically to harm a fairy's wings."

Aradressa then remembered, the combination of a Tropical Miku Berry, Sangoro Fruit, and a banana would make the Piku Liquid while the substance from the Nectar Flowers and a Funni Fruit would combine to make the Maki Liquid. With those liquids, surviving the forest wasn't as challenging.

Now it was time to wait for the night to fall, Tysashi and Aradressa went to play more Bakugan while Marissa resumed her usual activities.

The hours came and went like a broken heart, the stars dazzled as the two prepared their gear. Marissa waved as their figures were lost in her sight. The sounds of crickets and serene blows of wind surrounded them as Kiyoshi Woods stood mightily before them.

Deep breaths were exchanged as their hands touched and minds connected. They shared footsteps, walking into the woods just as the moonlight fell off their bodies and darkness attached itself.
