Leyland Adventures Chapter Ten: Part One

"Lennon, you can't be serious!" Professor Platinum had urged Lennon to not follow his actions though he remained persistent.

"You don't understand professor, I'm gonna find my bro, even if I have to search every solar system."

Lennon continued to urge the professor to repair the machine so he could visit planet after planet in search for his elder brother.

"Lennon, do you have any idea how enormous a planet is? Even if you were to find the correct planet, you'd have to search up and down for Tysashi."

Enraged, Lennon dug his fist into a nearby tree, admitting the professor was right... even it hurts.

"Damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!" Lennon screeched he as continued to attack the tree until it fell, crashing into the ground.

"Shouldn't we just tell Nya?"

He turned to the professor with his face scrunched up.

"Nya would kill us, you know how she takes her relationship with Tysashi, at Takataka Island, she followed him everywhere, even in the bathroom! After he met Kustina, he couldn't even go exploring anymore without her right behind him."

"Lennon, she does that because she loves him."

"I'm not an idiot, I know that. Honestly, she's a cool princess though, I'm glad Tysashi found her but she takes the relationship insanely seriously."  

"Lennon, if you want the best chance of saving Tysashi, Nya's magic is our best bet. Speaking of magic, have you told Kustina?"

"Of course not, she's all over him like Nya is, the last thing I need is two powerful women screaming my ears off."

"I understand why you might be afraid to tell them but the truth shall set you free as they say."

"Do you know how powerful Kustina is, she could rearrange my genetic code if she wanted, and Nya would just suspend my soul, making me a ghost for as long as she wants. I just...I need him to be here...everything is pointless and emotionless without him. Tysashi brought love and meaning in my life and he's changed so many lives. I can't imagine the world without him, if he goes, I go."

A tear nearly fell from his statement, though he held it back.

"Lennon, you must understand that you are just as important as Tysashi."

"Come on, we all know he's the star of the show...ugh...I think I need to go home, I'll see you tomorrow."

It had been twenty minutes since Tysashi read the note Aradressa left upon his awakening. She would be gone with her mother for some time. He retrieved his journal to prepare to write an entry, there were plenty of interesting characteristics of Leyland.

Entry #1: What is Leyland?

From what I gathered so far, this planet is home to millions of fairies with special abilities that make them unique from each other. It houses some odd creatures, plants, locations, and items. My only hope of getting back home seems to be collecting ten special gemstones with my new friend, Aradressa. I have a lot to learn about Leyland and this is really all I have. I met a variety of friends along the way who remind me of my friends back at Lenovo. It's a beautiful place for sure with so much diversity. I've gained some really cool items and I'm sure there will be more stuff for me to gain, I'll do my best to return in one piece.

Just then, Marissa and Aradressa had just returned. Aradressa rushed to ensnare Tysashi within her arms. She seemed joyous to see him, though he was curious about her behavior, she acted as if he'd die tomorrow.

Marissa demanded a private chat with him. Aradressa was sent to her room as the two were left alone.

"Tysashi, have you ever wondered why I treat Aradressa the way I do and why I'm normally against inviting people into the castle?"

"Sometimes, I understand that as a mother, you're only looking out for her and some people don't want complete strangers in their home."

"It goes deeper than that...have you ever seen the amber alerts on the news and thought that could never happen to you or anyone you loved?"

"I think it's near impossible for that to happen to my friends but they aren't normal."

"Well, during my childhood I met a wonderful friend named Emera and her abilities were extraordinary. When she laughed, her innocent voice would give life to withering plants and when she cried tears of joy or sadness, those tears would heal wounds."

"Emotional abilities...that sounds amazing."

"Yes, very until one tragic day... Because of her talents she was hunted and tracked. She went outside often and we were playing together until she was forcefully taken away by three mysterious strangers. As a young girl, I was weak, my abilities weren't fully controlled and fear treated me like a slave. I couldn't even see correctly, my eyes were flooded with my tears that wouldn't fall. My own guilt deafened my hearing as she screamed my name... She was abused for her abilities...most likely dead by now." 

Her voice was kept steady, even with depressing words, her tone remained calm.

"I- I had no idea... I can't express how sorry I am for how you must've felt."

"Tysashi, some fairies don't care about your appearance, they care about your abilities, apart from each fairy gaining control of an element at birth, we have special, unique abilities called '"traits"' that are either powered by our emotions or certain events. A fairy can have up to three."

"What's Aradressa's traits."

"Her voice, eternal youth, and heart. My daughter possesses the ability to attract and control beings with her voice if she sings in a specific way. She'll always look the same, now matter how old she becomes, she'll always carry the appearance of a teenager. Her heart... she can identify if a being is good or evil if she connects with them through physical contact."

"That makes so much sense..."

"I hope you learned something from this, that I am not an overused cliche of a mother, but most importantly, why people are out for my daughter." 

"I promise to protect her with my life." He bowed down before her.

"I know you will, run along now."

He happily nodded, rushing up the stairs and just as he left her field of vision, she sighed.

Within an instant, Tysashi reported to Aradressa's room, she awaited his arrival as she proudly presented a collection of candy contained in a plastic bag.

"I thought you could use those for the amount of time we'll spend in the forest."

"Oh thanks, they look delicious. So... is there anything you would like to do before the night falls?"

"Hmm... I do have a rather interesting collection of Bakugan Cards."

"Bakugan Cards?"

"I shall explain once I gather them, please wait outside the castle for my return."

"All right."

Tysashi did as he was told, the trees around him stood still while the wind groomed its leaves.

"Bakugan Cards... I wonder what they could be..."
