Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part Eight

The potent princess returned to the village, hundreds of eyes gathered around the blood stained on her dress. She presented the items to Amubki; he appeared incredibly joyful to see her unscathed. He was appreciative by the Everest Icicles she brought, though his attention was caught on her ruined attire.

"Princess, please allow me to thank you by washing your outfit. A person of your status shouldn't be subjected to this."

"Please, it's no trouble. I'm accustomed to this sort of thing and please don't waste your time relying on my status to determine how you should treat me."

"I see, my apologies. Please allow me to fetch your temporary wardrobe."

The princess adjusted her clothing to the unique lifestyle of the people around her. She dressed in rags with various shades of brown. The outfit didn't feel as satisfying as her standard dress, but no complaints were made.

"Please feel free to do whatever you like, princess. Don't be afraid to question anyone about anything." Amubki stated gleefully.

"Thank you very much. This is sudden, but I recall your lack of weaponry and armory. How would your people like it if I were to donate some weapons here? My mother keeps various gears in the castle basement, and we haven't found much use for them as they are quite outdated."

Amubki could feel the hairs on his arms rise like water from a fountain in excitement. "That would be very beneficial for us. But I would hate for your men to be called on such short notice."

"No need to concern yourself over their well-being, that's my responsibility. Besides, this is what they're paid to do. But thank you for your attention to them. What's a good number of items for you?" She asked as she dialed Alfred.

"Well, seeing as our army is quite small, a few hundred should do."

She smiled at the answer while Alfred picked up the call.

"Yes, princess? How may I serve you in this fine hour?"

"Good afternoon, Alfred. I pray this isn't too much of a bother, but I'm currently in Carrigo Village. I thought about donating our ancient inventory of weapons to this village. I'm sure they'll find a pleasing use for them. So if it's not too much to ask, could you rally up some guards and bring about eight boxes of items here?"

"Not a problem at all, princess, we'll get on it right away."

"Thank you all, please equip yourselves with something warm. Be cautious of the barbaric creatures inhibiting this area. I would be revolted if I didn't warn you all."

"We appreciate your loyalty to our health. We should be able to hold our own, so don't stress yourself. We'll be there as soon as possible."

"Again, thank you."

"You're welcome, princess."

Ending the call, she informed him of the incoming supplies. He bowed his head before her as a sign of thanks. Her soft fingers made contact with his chin, elevating it up. "No need to bow, I can tell you're thankful."

Amubki nodded, leaving her to run free around the village.
