Leyland Adventures Chapter Seven: Part Four
"Come on, Tysashi!"
"I'm right behind you, I can't run as fast as you can fly!"
Susana's energy was something impressive for a waitress, she truly possessed childlike behavior. The first location she led him to was Gachi Gardens, a large maze with various flowers and plants with descriptions to accompany them. The maze was surrounded by a snow white picket fence which anyone could enter. The gardens were just there for people to simply walk in and adore the labor put into the garden.
"Welcome to Gachi Gardens, a wonderful attraction made for the personal enjoyment of walking around a large maze while learning about flowers you never knew existed!"
"That's cool."
"Hey, you don't seem excited."
"I am but I've seen mazes like this before but the flowers here should be worth our time here."
"Of course it will, come on!" Susana dragged Tysashi into the gardens, she received a guide to the maze from the elderly man that stood before the entrance in case the two become lost in the aroma of flowers.
"This place is much larger than I expected."
"That only means we can spend more time together!" Susana directed her sparkling eyes into his own. Her eyes, they reminded him of the diamonds Aradressa has for eyes. The longer he stared, the more he could see Aradressa. It wasn't until he finally broke the silence.
"Totally, more time together."
Susana smiled. As they walked down the hallway of shrubs, Tysashi couldn't stop himself from asking an important question.
"So do you always skip work?"
"Of course not, but sometimes they just let me go. Probably because they think I'm annoying."
"Oh. Well, I don't think that's true. You seem very nice." Tysashi's eyes switched between the plants and Susana.
"Aww. You sure you won't change your mind soon?"
"I'm sure. I mean...you're just really hyper and that's fine with me."
"You're too sweet. Hey, look at this flower!" She shot her finger towards an edible plant in the shape of a pink heart.
"These are called Sweethearts because of the honey within the plant, it will turn golden when all the honey is produced with the plant. These flowers grow in the summertime and are found in a variety of places. I love these types because they taste so good."
Before Tysashi could finish his statement, Susana managed to have a secure, yet gentle grip on his hand, taking the boy to another unique plant. What his eyes were greeted to was a yellow flower with white tips at the ends of its petals.
"These are called Neural Flowers, this type of flower can absorb energy from both the heat and cold."
Tysashi glanced at the flower again. "That's really cool for a flower."
"There's a ton more!"
"Heh, well I don't have time for a ton more," He chuckled.
A pout on Susana's face appeared. "Ok, let's skip the garden and head for the riverside."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, it'll be a calming moment for the both us."
"All right, lead the way."
Susana brought Tysashi out of the garden and directed him Seashell Riverside. A bridge laid underneath the glistening water that would lead them into another area. Seashells found their home in the sand and water. The two sat down on the sand.
"These seashells are symbols of the dead, whenever a person would die near the river, a seashell would be placed for them."
Tysashi inspected the area once more. "So...that's what the seashells are for."
"Yup! Hey Tysashi, do you have a job?"
"Umm...no I don't, outside of being a hero of course."
"Well, how would you like to work at the diner with me?" Her eyes exploded as she asked the question.
"I don't see a problem working there but I kinda have enough money in my pocket and I have a large amount of gold and treasure back home. Why though?"
"Well...I like spending time with you and I would like to spend more time with you." Embarrassment rushed to her facial cheeks, she could no longer remove her eyes from his figure.
"I like spending time with you as well, but I'm seeing someone back on my home planet. I can't cross any boundaries, I'm sorry."
"Oh, I see. Ok, yeah you have a girlfriend and there's nothing I can do about that."
"It's not that I don't like you. Well, I did just meet you so I don't know how you got these feelings. Did you break up with someone recently?"
"Nope, I never had a boyfriend. I fell for you because you seem harmless and loving. I can see it in your eyes, you'll do anything to protect your family and friends."
"Yeah, I would. Let's just remain as friends ok? Just wait for a bit before you decide who you love, that decision is crucial." Tysashi reached for Susana's hand as he arose from sand.
Susana arose with him, a smile appeared on her face as she took his hand and twirled him around before surrounding him in her arms.
"I'd love that more than anything."
Tysashi smiled, laughing almost. She didn't seem to take it too harshly and the two have settled for a warm friendship. "So where are you going now, Tysashi?"
He stared at the sky before forming his answer. "I was planning on going back the way I came, the sun is setting and it'll be dark soon."
"Ok, do you have time for one more activity with me?"
"I guess."
"There's a bar across the bridge that leads into Iris Center, I always go there because it's not a typical bar."
"Oh...I don't drink."
"Drink? No no, I only go for the sodas, as a matter of fact, they don't serve alcohol, that's why I love it so much. Iris Center is unusual with it's locations and features that makes it so odd."
"Alright, I guess I could stick around for a while."
"Yay, trust me, you won't be disappointed!"
As a response, Tysashi replied with his well-known technique, the handsome grin.
"I hope Aradressa doesn't mind if I spend a little more time out."
