Jack and Alex land in BWI (Baltimore-Washington International Airport) at around 4 pm EST. Of course, Jack starts to freak out, thinking that there isn't going to be enough time for his plan to work. And he doesn't have a lot of time to come up with a plan B. Jack starts to think about how long this will all take, and attempts to come up with a schedule in his head. First, they have to get off the plane, get their bags, and wait for a shuttle to take them to a car rental place; which will take at least an hour, maybe more. Then they have to drive in rush hour traffic to Alex's "childhood" (since he technically was born in England) home; that'll take about an hour. So they'll get there around 6:30 or 7. That leaves more time than Jack thought. Fuck, Jack thinks. What am I supposed to do with all that extra time? Alex starts to notice his boyfriend's mental panicking.
"Everything alright, babe?" He puts a hand on Jack's shoulder.
"Yeah," He responds in a high-pitched squeak, which makes Alex giggle.
"C'mon, what's up?"
Jack takes a deep breath. "Nothing, just thinking."
Alex just stares his boyfriend down. "Wanna tell me?"
"Uhhh, nah."
"Please?" He gives Jack pouty eyes.
Jack smiles, "Sorry baby, but I can't just yet."
Alex groans, "Fine."
He reaches to grab his bag and gets Jack's too.

It's now about 7 o'clock and they're at Alex's childhood house. Jack heads upstairs to Alex's old bedroom and starts to unpack their things. He makes sure he does this while Alex is still downstairs, just in case the ring was visible. He unpacks Alex's suitcase a little bit to try and help. Then he unpacks his but first tries to search for the box. Then something unfortunate happens. He lost the ring.
Jack starts to panic; this was his grandfather's band and it meant everything to him. Everything would be ruined if Jack had lost the ring. All of his planning and setting everything up would all fall apart. Many thoughts race through Jack's head as he frantically searches for the ring.
A knock at the door stops his thoughts and actions. Alex's dad comes into the room, thankfully, holding the box Jack has been desperately looking for. He hands the box to a nervous Jack, gives him a soft smile, and leaves the room. Jack repeatedly thanks Alex's dad as he shuts the door behind him, laughing. Jack lets out a chuckle of relief. He finishes unpacking, having the ring safely in his pocket.
After unpacking, he starts setting up the room. He makes a blanket fort and turns on the TV to put on Netflix. He lights some candles that way the only light is from the TV and the candles.

Jack leads Alex into the room blindfolded.
"Ooou this is kinky," Alex teased, making Jack laugh so hard, he almost pisses himself.
"Lex, no." Jack takes out his phone to record his reaction to the room and removes Alex's blindfold and reveals what he did.
"Oh my god, Jacky!" Alex smiles as he looks around the room, noticing the candles placed in various spots, the champagne and rosé bottles and wine glasses, and the blanket fort.
"Jacky, you didn't have to do all this." Alex smiles at the camera.
"Sure I did." Jack smiles as well while he turns his phone off.
Alex looks around the room some more, then at him. "But why?"
Jack hesitates for a second; he's never been a great liar. "You deserve it."
"Why do you say that?"
"I never take you out or doing anything special with you. The only time we go out is with the guys; we never go on dates. I suck at being a boyfriend," Jack chuckles softly. "But I wanted to do something nice for you."
Alex gives him a genuine smile and hugs him. Jack hugs him back and hears Alex mumble into his chest, "Thank you."
Jack smiles at this, "Of course, Lexy."
He pulls away and watches Alex get so excited like a little child and crawl into the blanket fort, already snuggling himself in a blanket, waiting for his boyfriend.
"You're so adorable," Jack says as he also crawls into the fort.

They watched Alex's favorite movie while cuddling and eating popcorn. Afterwards,
Jack says, "Shall we set the mood?" while opening a bottle of rosé. Alex laughs and grabs a glass. A knock at the door stops him from taking a sip. Jack starts to get up to open the door, knowing exactly why someone knocked, but Alex insists on getting it.
"Jacky, you've done too much for me tonight, let me at least get the door," he says while getting up. When Alex opens the door, he sees his dad holding a pizza box.
"Why thank you," he takes the pizza from his dad's hands and closes the door.
"Oh, wow! Pizza?" Jack acts surprised.
"Oh shush! You got us pizza, too?" Alex smiles.
"Of course, a date is never complete without pizza."
Alex chuckles, "This is too much, babe. I don't need all this."
"You're right, you don't need it. You deserve it, though." Jack smiles.
Alex blushes and kisses him on his nose, "Well, thank you."
"Anything for you," Jack kisses him.
"How about some music," Jack raises his eyebrows at Alex.
"Sure, Jacky."
Jack turns on his phone and puts on his blink-182 playlist.
"Of course it's blink-182," Alex laughs.

After listening to some blink-182 love songs, Alex yells at him.
"Excuse me!"
"Yes, baby?" Jack replies, starting to smile, because he knows exactly what Alex is going to "yell" at him about.
"Oh you sly motherfucker. You know!!" Alex laughs.
"Just let me play the damn song! Even if it's not blink-182!" Jack laughs as well.
"But Box Car Racer isn't blink-182!"
Jack tackles him into a bunch pillows and plants kisses all over his face.
"Alright!! I'm sorry!!" Alex giggles.

After that, Jack started to list things that he knew about Alex.
He grabs Alex's hands, "Dearest Alex.."
Alex cute him off with a giggle, "This sounds like a really bad proposal."
Jack chuckles nervously, "Anyway, where was I? Oh right. I know a lot of things about you, since I was, and I guess, still am your best friend. But now with benefits."
"Boyfriend would be a better choice of words, but go ahead."
Jack smiles, "I know your birthday; December 17th. I know where you were born, you Essex motherfucker. You moved to Baltimore when you were young. I mean, thank God. I would've never have met you if you didn't move. Gosh Alex, I could go on forever about all the things I know about you. But I'll just stop at that before I get side-tracked. Alex, there's only one thing I don't know."
Jack pauses and digs into his pocket, watching Alex's expression change from smiling to shocked.
"Alex, will you please do the honors, of marrying me?"
Alex just sits there shocked, but stutters out, "Y-Yes!!! Of c-course!!!"
