Chapter Six

Jason POV

For every ones training they had to show me how they could use their powers effectively unlike now where some people couldn't manage to use their powers.

I would train with everyone one on one at least once a day to make sure they were doing well and making progress. I started with Ava and we worked on her teleportation and increasing the length of it and speed. It took her about five seconds to travel across a half mile distance. Those five seconds could be crucial during a battle and so we tried cutting it down to less than two seconds. I managed to get it down to four and a half minutes with one training session.

I went to Liam next to help him with his invisibility. He could only stay invisible for one minute and then he would suddenly reappear. He was our main person for sneaking into places since he could make us invisible as well. He also doesn't show up on scanners as much anymore. We got his time up to a minute and a half by making up a way for him to relax while being invisible because it causes a lot of stress.

After that, I went to Michael. He needed to learn how to shapeshift on command instead of at random times. He was still quite young but he transforming into a cat when upset does not help us rescue Lynn and Lizzie. We discovered he can transform into a wolf and gets all the perks of being one as well. I showed him how to control the shifting and not letting it control him.

The last person I had to help was Paige. Her powers were quite simple to use but she was still learning how to activate them. She knew how to make her wings come out at desperate times but she couldn't do it on command. I gave her a word to say if she wanted her wings to come out. She got to choose the word of "Pegasus" to be the command for them to sprout. We made it a word that nobody would think of so they couldn't make her wings come out when she didn't want them to until she got better control of them. I decided not to touch on her healing ability since she was exhausted from wing training and healing takes a lot from her.

Lynn POV

After my mother left, I fell asleep despite being kidnapped I knew nothing was going to happen to me if I slept for a few hours. When I awoke I was in a bed not in the chair like I was before. I noticed I had new pajamas on as well. I only had three pairs of clothes that I wore while on the run. I got up and realized that the room I was in was my old room from when I lived here. I recognize the bright colored wallpaper that was dent marks in it from me running into it. I saw where everyone signed their names, besides Paige and Lizzie since neither of them could write at the time so Jason and I wrote their names for them. I didn't want to go down memory lane anymore so I crept out of the room and walked over to the main area. I saw my parents there like they were waiting for me.
"You're finally awake, I thought you were going to sleep for a week." My father Nickolas Fikal said.

"Yes I am awake, what do you want me for?" I asked them

"We need your help with a scientific project" My mother said

"What type of project?" I asked

"The one that will determine the future of the human race" They both chimed in

"Why do you need my help? Don't you have hundreds of scientists working for you?" I said

"You are needed to find out what gives you your specific powers and you're a genius if you don't remember. You don't use your mind to its full potential. And yes we have a ton of scientists but none of them understand your family better than you." My father said.

"Didn't you monitor what gave us powers?" I asked confused

"For everyone else it was a specific mixture of specific DNA, but with you it was all random and we couldn't test for it since it disguised itself as normal human DNA." My mother said

She continued to explain how the human race needed to figure out how my powers worked to find solutions for major problems. My parents said they assume I have about six undiscovered powers, but it should be five since I found out I have super hearing. They walked over to the training area from when I was little and I followed them.

Even though this place is pure evil, I find some comfort in being back in my old training place. It was like my second home when I lived here and they even had a special treadmill for my speed and they added newer equipment. I went over to start working out and I saw my parents start smiling out of the corner of my eye. It gave me chills, I have only seen them smile a few times and that was when the other kids weren't with us. I think they somewhat care about me, but if they actually cared they wouldn't force me to take part in this plan of theirs for world domination.

I ran about a thousand miles on the treadmill and realized how long it had been since I had a real workout. I used to be able to run a thousand miles without breaking a sweat but today I was drowned in sweat from the same distance. I went over to the combat training dummy for super speed. Since I was fast they made my combat training dummy as fast as me. I hadn't been in a real fight for over a year and I was rusty. I got hit in the shoulder a few times and I am sure I at least fractured it.

After working out for about five hours I went to try and ask my parents about where Lizzie was. I tracked them down in the main lab after about twenty minutes of searching. I didn't miss how large the facility was. I saw them talking to some random scientists and started walking over. As I was walking over I saw myself on a table. I stared at myself and my parents then noticed me and went to look at what I was staring at. They rushed over to try and calm me down since I was freaking out.

"Honey, it's not what it looks like." My father said calmingly

"Is this why you wanted me here? To make a clone of me?" I asked while breathing heavily.

"No, we have had this clone ever since you ran away six years ago." My mother said in her cold tone.

"Why do you need me then?" I asked

"She doesn't have the same range of powers as you do and we didn't give her the same powers as you. She doesn't have super speed her power is only X-ray vision." My father said

"We only had her since we were devastated by you leaving, you are our daughter after all" My mother said.

Somehow that conversation calmed my nerves some but not completely. I asked them where they were holding Lizzie at. They told me they would let me see her in a few minutes if she wanted to. A few minutes later, I see the eight year old that shoots fire out of her hands. She looks unharmed and content with being here. She doesn't remember living here, since she was only two when we got out. She ran over to me and gave me the biggest hug that she has ever given me.

"I've missed you" Lizzie told me while holding my hand.

"I have missed you too Lizzie" I told her right back and gave her hand a little squeeze.

Just when we were reunited, a blaring alarm went off. Lizzie and I jumped in surprise but quickly composed ourselves. At that moment my super hearing went on and I fell to the ground in pain. My parents rushed over and asked what was wrong. I didn't know if I should tell them about my new power but I had to get rid of this headache.
