All the Gryffindors were celebrating wildly after the quidditch game. Everyone was congratulating me on my success of catching the snitch and winning the game. Rose, Poe and Finn were ecstatic and wouldn't shut up about how amazing the game was I was glad when the night was almost over and we were making our way back to the Gryffindor dorm rooms.
"I still can't believe that you won Rey!" Poe pronounced patting me on the back.
"You make it sound like you had no faith in me at all!" I laughed.
"We all had faith in you Rey don't be silly" They giggled at me.
I can't believe how quickly we have become so close. It is like we have been friends forever when we only met a few weeks ago. I love my friends so much they help me out when I'm struggling with my magic especially Poe and Rose. Finn also can struggle like me, so we are learning together which is a nice experience.
They are so many stairs in Hogwarts it is unbelievable. It is a good job I have managed to memorize the way back to the Gryffindor wing of the castle. Me, Poe, Rose and Finn were walking up the grand stair case to the Gryffindor wing of the castle when the magical stairs started to move. It was a struggle to stay standing. Finn fell into me as Poe and Rose held on for dear life.
"What's happening" Finn screeched.
"The stair case's change remember?!" Rose said.
We were all shocked but were just trying to focus on not falling down hundreds of feet to certain doom. The stairs finally stopped and joined up to a door.
"Let's go this way before the stairs move again!" I said to my friends.
We cautiously walked off of the staircase and to the door. With a slight push we opened the door and walked into a big open space. It was very dark and eerie.
"Does anyone else feel like we shouldn't be here?" Finn said.
"We are not supposed to be here this is the third floor it's forbidden." Poe informed us.
Just as he said uttered that a candle flamed on near us lighted up the room just a little bit. We couldn't have stayed any longer because we weren't allowed too. Just as I turned around and said,
"Let's go!"
I saw a cat that screeched at us and looked at us in the eyes.
"It's the caretaker's cat!" Rose told us.

Red lights immediately flashed in my mind we had to get away from that cat or we would be caught.
"Run!" Poe shouted.
We all darted down the long dark corridors of the third floor not quite knowing where we were heading just knowing we had to get out of that cat's way. The flames on the candles light as we ran past emitting a trail of an orange glow. We made it down a long corridor and saw a door at the end.
