"everything alright bubs?" i pulled a piece of hair out of my face.

he sniffled before he spoke, "jewel, i-."

"edwin what happened?" i was now concerned that he was on the verge of crying.

"i'm moving kennadee." he wiped a tear that was about to fall from his eye.

at this point my eyes were getting glossy because i didn't know if he was joking or not. "ur joking, right?"

"i'm moving to america. going to the bronx because my dads job is stable over there now." he now looked up at the camera.

"does baylee know?" i wiped a tear.

"i told her at school yesterday. the move is sudden, i leave next week."

my jaw dropped. my best friend is leaving the country. "i'm coming over, be there soon." he said okay and i hung up and got my shoes.

at edwins, they were packing up the big things that would be hard to do through out the last days. he took a break as we went to get some food and hang out.

"so the bronx huh?" i popped a fry in my mouth as i placed my head on his shoulder. "yeah. i'll try and visit as much as i can." he said before laying his head on top of mine. "no i know it's hard for you, i'll visit often." "alright" he sighed

"i have a date next week." i chuckled telling him now. "girl who!?" i felt the excitement rush through his body. "uh, zion." i looked up at the sky from the view i had at the park bench.

"girl i can see that. he likes you ya know." i laughed at the comment "what ever you say eddy."

"he really does! that's who i said had the hots for you, he tells me everything." he shrugged making my head move up for a second. "you can't keep your mouth shut, can you?" i laughed again.

we talked for hours on hours before i dropped him off at home. everyone that was good friends with edwin knew about the move. that consisted of his little guy friend group, zion, baylee, and lastly me. at his house, i helped him pack as i talked to his mom and younger siblings.

they were all like family to me. that was the last time i would see his family so i said my good byes and cried a bit.

before the water works came, i drove home. that night was consisting of facetime calls with baylee and netflix.
