chapter fourteen

"what edwin" i stirred the mac & cheese and k rolled my eyes. "i'm leaving early tomorrow so can you come early please?" i could feel his eyes water through the screen.

"yeah i'll be there." i smiled to myself before putting the phone on speaker and drained out the water. "alright,see you tomorrow. love you." he sighed "love you too bubs, see you tomorrow." i mixed the milk, butter, and powdered cheese in before turning off the stove and putting the food in two bowls.

i walked to the living room again to see zion on his phone. "here ya go." i placed the bowl on the coffee table before sitting next to him and turning the tv on. "pick a show." i looked up at him. "uh, friends." he said.

"great choice z." i laughed before going to netflix and putting it on. we sat in comfortable silence as we ate our food. nothing or nobody to bother us. after eating i ran to the kitchen just to put out bowls in the sink and get more waters. i got a big blanket and went back to the couch.

"let's play 21 questions." zion blurted after we got used to the heat of the blanket. i nodded before he spoke again. "you ask the questions, we both answer."

"shut up. most childish thing you love to do?"

"chase people around like we are playing tag." he smirked which gave me the memo to run.

he got up a few seconds after me and chased me around the house. we ran up and down the stairs and i booked it to the backyard. he wasn't far behind. he suddenly jumped in front of me, grabbed my shoulders, and pushed us both down. he was on top of me as he tickled the living hell out of my body. i laughed so hard and couldn't breath at the same time.

"caleb! cant-breath." i said in between laughs. he let go and plopped on the floor next to me. "you're annoying, you know that?" i turned to face him. "shut up, you love it baby girl." he smirked.

he got up and helped me. we went back inside and i told him to stay the night. "please z, i don't wanna be alone." i faked a frown.

"fine, only because your cute" he sighed. we went up to my room and i reached into my drawer giving him a pair of sweats. "why the hell do you have men sweats?" he laughed

"because, the men section have softer and baggier clothes but i bought those and never wore them so you can use them." i laughed after. "alright" he went to the bathroom connected to my room.

i was so tired i changed into shorts and a sweatshirt before laying in the bed and leaving room for zion. he came out the bathroom as i patted the spot next to me. "you sure?" he tilted his head slightly. i nodded before he got into bed and cuddled next to me. i honestly didn't mind. well i kinda did. he was shirtless for god sake.

a few minutes later, i heard light and soft snores coming from him.

was i, kennadee luis, falling in love with, the zion kuwonu? unbelievable
