We hashed out the plan to save Dimitri, but there were some flaws to it. Lissa had to be the one to save him. I swallowed back those bittered feelings towards her because she was my best friend. After lights out at St. Vlads,  Lissa, and I  move to the open space just before we get to a clump of bushes where the front gate is at.

I looked around for signs of guardians, but there wasn't anything, which I gave a small joy of knowing that I wouldn't have to take out a bunch of guardians. I rush Lissa forward towards the gate, hoping that she could climb it. Knowing that this could alert the guardains at any moment, but those were a set of problems that could be dealt with later. For right now, all I could think of was saving Dimitri.

She got over the gate - all safe and sound, which made me happy to know that she wasn't hurt because of my crazy whims. I climbed the fence and landed perfectly, so perfectly I might have gotten an A for a test that would have probably happened. I made sure Lissa was alright, and we then moved fairly quickly to 412 Sydney Drive.

We got there, and my heart raced at seeing Dimitri again. I told Lissa to let me go in first, that I have to make sure that he's there. I swallowed hard as I crept up to the house. Going quietly inside, I looked around. I licked my lips as I went deeper inside, hoping Lissa wouldn't come with me until I made sure that the coast was clear.

As soon as it was, I signaled to Lissa that it was fine to come inside. I knew where Dimitri was. In that room - the room where I had staked him with that makeshift stake. I swallowed those memories down. "Liss.." I whispered to her. She made eye contact with me.

I nod at her, and she goes behind me. I crept up into the room and said, "Missed me, Comrade?"

Dimitri turned around from where he had had his back turned on us. Maybe I shouldn't have said that, but you know it's too late to change that. Maybe Lissa could have staked him without me needing to say that, but oh well. He smirked coldly at us - me in particular. I went up to him and wrapped my arms around him, kissing him softly on the mouth. His body was so cold, though. He held me to him, but I had to let Lissa stake him. As much as I hated to see this happen, it would help me get him back. My other half of my soul back.. I had to do this for him - or, well, Lissa has to do it.

I leaped up from him and yelled, "Now Liss!"

She came up and produced the silver stake and plunged it to Dimitri's heart. She had a little trouble with it, but she soon got it in there far enough, and a burning white light turned on, and it blasted out all of the room. I flew back into the wall, and then all of a sudden, the light was gone.. I had to blink a couple of times to see very well. I looked around and saw that Dimitri was resting his head on Lissa's lap, crying hard. I bit my lip as I looked at the two of them. I saw that Dimitri's skin was tan, and not god awful pale, and when he turned his head a bit, I saw his eyes. They weren't red anymore. They were the color of honey brown. I sighed in relief as I saw it.

We had done it. We had turned Dimitri back into a Dhampir. He wasn't Strigoi anymore.
