Chapter 9- "Sometimes People Change."

It's been 3 hours since I had seen my former boyfriend/instructor who turned Strigoi, which I can't seem to wrap my head around it. Dimitri's a Strigoi- the evil, undead vampires who stalk and take innocent people for dinner, lunch, and breakfast. 

I heard a knock on my door and felt lissa's presence through our bond. I went to the door and opened it. She smiles a little. No doubt, everyone knows about the Strigoi attack here. I dug into the bond to check on her. She seems fine to me, but there's a little bit of uneasiness to her. 

"Everything okay?" I ask her while stepping away from the door so she could come in. 

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" She says as she sits on the bed.

I shrug and say, "I don't know, Liss.. And you know I can feel you."

She sighs and nods. "Yeah, I know you can. "

"Just saying it, don't get all...." My voice trails off as I sense something funny going on outside of my room. I go to my window and peer out.

What I see is a guy. A hot guy, to be exact.  The guy had brown hair, which was shorter than Dimitri's. But his height was very well up there. I told Lissa to stay here while I went down to the ground from a tree. Adreanline was shooting up in me as I sat on my tiptoes, holding on to another branch as I saw the guy still standing there. I counted to three and pounced on the guy, who went down with my body weight. Score one for me. I pinned him down, using all my weight. 

"Who are you? And what are you doing here in the middle of the academy's night?"

He looked shocked at how much I weighed. Proves him right. Thinking he can sneak up on us like that.  I pressed my elbow into his neck and demanded: "Who are you?"

The guy winced and said, "Adrain Isahkov." 

I pulled back and gasped a little. I just landed on one of the 12 Royal families, the most cutest guys in the world. Damn, this isn't good.
