A/n: Hi! I'm back again and before we jump into the next chapter, here's my answer to my previous question (you can find the question on the previous chapter). For me, colors signify different moods and I can't really tell what's my most hated color. But if it comes down to vibes, dark green and red-orange are the least colors that I don't prefer, also purple or lavender at times. Why? They're just not really my vibes most of the time.
Anyway, now that's done, here's the next question: Who among you guys want some pineapple 🍍 on their pizza 🍕 ? Just so you know, I'm very interested to know. Tell me why you like it/hate it. :)
Here's Chapter 55. Enjoy ~

________
Matthew
We're now at the entrance of the town.
Anna asked me to pull over for just a second, and so we're now parked at the vacant side of the road.
As I scan through the area, from my impression, I can say that this town is really not that populated. It's quiet and only a few people are coming out of it and only a few cars are passing by. It's in a less developed region of the country.
I glance back at Anna, with her hands both clasped in front of her chest, she's staring ahead with wary in her eyes.
I can see it as clear as the day.
Gently, I move closer and reach out to her, giving her a quick hug.
"Don't worry, Anna. I'm here." I whisper in her ears as I gently soothe her hair. She lets go a long sigh.
"Matthew..."
"Ssh. No rush, okay? We can stop by as long as you want. We'll go whenever you're ready." She finally let go and wraps her arms around me.
"I don't know what to do..."
"You don't need to worry about anything. Just do what you need to do. I'll be by your side." she faces me with a pair of teary eyes. Putting a strand of hair at the back of her ear, I plant a soft kiss on her forehead.
"I love you and I believe in you." With an encouraging smile, hopefully encouraging enough, I give her a pat on her head.
"Will you be able to handle it?"
"Handle everything about you?"
"Yes, everything about me - all of me..." Instead of giving her an answer, I just kiss her. This is what I called a booster - the booster kiss. When I'm about to let her go, she quickly grabs ahold of me and gives back the kiss.
It is a quick, but sweet kiss.
It seems like I'm the one that's being boosted.
"I can handle everything," I say when we both let go.
We stare at each other's eyes and for a moment, I thought that I almost heard her innermost thoughts.
And then she lets go and takes a deep breath.
"I'm ready." I smile at her.
"Move along! You're now in for a journey down to my sorry past." she speaks with a funny tone as she points out ahead of us.
"Yes, sir. Here we go." I start the engine and as the car roars back to life, she gives a quick look.
"Don't you dare run, understood?" With still the funny voice and her arms on her hips, I can almost burst out laughing. But of course, we don't want to be there. Not today. But I give her a wide, bright smile.
