Matthew

I don't know why I'm feeling so panicky right now.

Is it because of the match?

Damn.

I've never been nervous about any game.

But today, it's totally different.

And I can't even get ahold of Anna.

When we ended the call last night, I was able to sleep soundly and I was able to wake up at 8:00 AM. Just the right time for morning exercise before the match this afternoon.

But after that call, I can't even reach Anna. I tried a few times to call her and even message her.

I don't know, but I feel like something's going on. Or I'm just being paranoid?

Maybe Anna got me a surprise and she's really trying not to pick up my calls.

It's okay if she won't answer my call. But damn, I can't really reach her. She's not even texting me back.

And I'm freaking sweating!

I can't seem to brush off the bad feeling.

The game is about to begin in 30 minutes.

My family is not yet even here. But they're already on their way. Mom just texted me.

"Hey man, everything's okay?" Not at all!

"Yeah, man. I'm just... a feeling a bit agitated," I say.

"Just relax, man. By the way, the thing that you ask from me -"

"Right! Do you have it?" I almost forgot. Almost.

"Yeah, I got it, but..." My brows furrowed at his words.

"What's the matter, man?"

"I mean, mom's got it. Yo man, it's really troublesome. Me and mom - we're really not that close -"

"Yes, yes, you said it to me before." What is he stalling for?

"But I did it for you, alright? Just don't forget to pay back the favor," he says.

"Don't worry, I won't." This thing is making me more nervous for some reason.

"Mom and Dad, they're on their way. She got the thing. I just don't know what is it. So you'll know later, alright?" He smiles at me as he pats me slightly on my shoulder.

"Yeah, man. Thanks."

Damn.

I'm feeling not really good.

Anna...

She's coughing so hard last night. Is she alright? Although she said that she's alright and she really reassured me that she'll be going, but...

Oh, freaking madness!

This is madness!

I can't think straight. The more I think about it, the more I become weary.

Anna...

For now, I need to cool off or else, I won't really be able to play a good game.

"Matthew!" They're here.

"Mom," Melissa instantly hugs me the moment she sees me.

"This is a big game. I was wondering why they changed the place, but now I figured out why." Melissa looks around as she takes in the big gymnasium.
