Chapter Ten – Patience
"Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place." – J. Lynn
Licht sat down in front of a pond. Aries was right behind her, peering out at the wildlife. Licht crossed her legs, gazing at the beautiful scenery. Her eyes closed slowly and she relaxed all of the tension in her body. There was a very gentle breeze blowing against her as birds chirped in the distance.
She willed her mind to unwind and empty its thoughts. She ignored all of the outside movement, focusing solely on her body. She took deep breaths in and out, trying her best to only focus on that. It had been difficult, oddly enough. Her mind wanted to think and turn and move nonstop. It had taken some practice to get to this point.
All she could see was blackness but she could feel her still body. Everything around her disappeared and she concentrated on relaxing her mind. Meditation had helped her calm her anxiety and relieve her depression. She decided to take up the practice the second day after they left Elder Szilveszter's home.
Even so, Licht was mildly upset with herself. She still was unable to locate any of the warriors, try as she might. Each time she had come up with nothing new. Licht did not want to waste time any more time. She wanted to save her sister and stop her mother. There were many things she needed to do, and she needed to act fast but for some reason, her subconscious did not want to comply with her.
She took longer and deeper breaths as she progressed. Her hair dancing softly in the breeze.
Licht's hand lightly tingled, something she had grown familiar with. The tingle ran up her arm, becoming more prominent. She paid it no mind, mostly because it went unnoticed by Licht as she focused on her breathing. Involuntarily, her head began to turn. So deep within her meditation, she did not even realize these strange occurrences. Licht was simply floating in silence.
She remained in the same position for an unknown amount of time. It felt as if she was falling further and further into her subconscious. She welcomed the feeling. It was nice and gentle. There was no negativity whenever she meditated and that was all her mind could seem to think about as of late. It was a good escape and she welcomed it. Although the pain was still strong and raw, meditating had helped her quite a bit
A flash of blue popped up in her blank mind. It was quick and almost unnoticeable but she had caught it. Her concentration turned to her tingly arm. Blue appeared in her mind again when she finally put her attention to these feelings. It wasn't a flash. It was all she could see. The tingle in her arm grew.
The moment you feel something different is the moment you located one of them.
Her eyes flashed open. She stared hard in the direction her head stopped at. She had been so caught up in her meditation, her body moved on its own will!
