Licht could barely take it. Silence loomed over Wolfe and Licht, so incredibly thick that not even an ax would be able to slice its way through it. Even so, they continued searching for the warrior. Every now and then Licht would try to pinpoint the warrior's location but the result was the same; nothing. The cave was too complex, Licht had also just begun to use this strange telepathic power.

Wolfe kept his eyes peeled for anything that looked out of the ordinary. All he saw was stone and more stone. He was beginning to become irritated. Princess Licht, on the other hand, was very interested in the stone and the way it formed a cave many years ago. It was intriguing to her, she had obviously seen nothing like it before so she was taking all that she could get.

"Princess," Wolfe started, gathering her attention. "How are you feeling?"

Licht tilted her head, confused by his sudden question. Did she not look like she was feeling well? She felt fine, no fever or injury of any kind.

"I want to know your thoughts that you hide so well," he added, noticing her confusion. Something in him had changed as he looked at her.

She blinked, halting her steps as she looked at him. He really did seem curious and concerned. She knew what he was talking about, he was just as interested in the princess' thoughts of the night of her father's and sisters' death.

She gave him a small smile, hoping to reassure him. "There is no need to worry, Wolfe."

"But I do worry." Licht was surprised by his swift and serious response.

She sighed, removing the smile from her lips. "I appreciate your concern, but it really is unnecessary. I want to heal my deepest wounds on my own, this is my way of growing stronger, strong like you. I want to be strong too. Nobody will ever understand the emotions I go through every day, even if they have a similar situation, everyone is different. But that is okay, I must find my fears and destroy them all. Nobody can heal my wounds but me, and with the encouragement of you, Ingrid, Alika and whoever else, I can do it."

Wolfe was not expecting her response, it shocked him, to say the least. She had never spoken once about being weak and her strong desire to grow strong. It made him wonder. The passion-filled, determined look in her bright eyes told him that he really did not know exactly what the princess was hiding, how many things she was hiding. He didn't like that. It was obvious that growing stronger meant a great deal to her.

Wolfe let out a chuckle. "Princess, those words just proved that you are strong. Besides, I prefer you this way."

"This way?" She didn't understand what he meant.

He stared down at her, his gaze revealing many emotions. "Since we were young, I wanted to see you grow into a powerful, independent person. But at the same time, I don't want to become useless."
