real life :
When the brunet woke up the next morning, the headache he had expected to have was absent, completely lost in the fog that were his thoughts.
He let himself fall onto his back and looked to his right, searching for a certain Brit, only for a frown to grow present on his face as the Brit he expected to lay beside him, wasn't present either.
The word confusion was practically written on the American's forehead as he slowly sat up, taking in his surroundings. He found himself in Tom's old room. It was bit on the smaller side, but by the way the space was furnished, it felt roomy and open. A few pictures and photos were still present on the drawer and wall, something the American couldn't help but smile at.
He let himself slip out of the bed, before a cold shiver ran down his back and realised he wasn't wearing a shirt.
He slowly rubbed his arm with his hand, trying to warm up a bit as he walked towards a lonely chair that was placed in the corner of the room, with a hoodie laying on top of it. Elijah, still being incredibly sleeping, just threw it on without a second thought, only yearning for the warmth it would bring.
After he warmed up a little bit, he made his way over to the wooden drawers with the picture frames on it, picking one up.
It was a sweet picture of Tom with his mother, Tom making a weird face while Nikki laughed. He smiled at the sight.
"Nice hoodie — where'd you get it?"
Elijah turned around, putting the picture down, before putting his hands on his waist, strutting a sloppy pose, "Looks good, huh?"
The owner of the voice, Tom, made his way over and planted a kiss on the American's slightly dry lips, before speaking up, "Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas." Said American replied, planting a kiss on the Brit's lips as well, in the exact same way he previously did.
"Now come on, everybody is waiting for you."
The two brunets made their way downstairs to meet the rest of the family, wishing them a merry Christmas before making their way to the living room to open the presents that were placed messily around the cheerfully decorated tree. Elijah hadn't expected it, but he received a gift as well, two actually. The first was a wool-sweatshirt, decorated festively. He knew you were supposed to hate being given those 'ugly' Christmas sweaters, but he personally loved them, and was incredibly grateful to get it.
The second present he was given, was a leather bracelet, similar to the one he already wore. It had been given by Tom, who stuttered in the slightest bit as he presented the American with the small object. The bracelet contained two little charms that had the letters M and S on it; Mysterio and Spider-Man.
Elijah was over the moon with the gift, and gave his boyfriend a tight hug after receiving it.
After presents, the Holland family, plus Elijah, ate breakfast together. The only American that was present in the household started to feel more comfortable every minute that passed by, feeling accepted and welcome. Tom truly had the perfect family.
The entire day had gone by way too fast for Elijah's liking. The entire day was filled with fun activities, but also moments to just talk and kind of relax, and the brunet loved every second of it. At one point Tom, Elijah, Harry, Sam and Paddy had found themselves into a gigantic snowball fight. It lasted around an hour, with every single one of the boys ending up completely soaked by the snow that melted on their clothes.
Because of the amount of joy the brunet had during the day, he found himself a little bumped out when he was back in bed. Tom and him would fly out early in the morning the next day to go to his family, and so the two had called it a day a lot earlier than usual.
