real life:

The Brit closed his friend's phone and put it down on the dashboard, while letting out a quiet sigh at the same time.

He sat still for a moment as he thought about everything that happened tonight. He could feel his heart ache whenever he thought about the story Elijah told him only half an hour ago and how much it still seemed to bother him. Not that it was weird for him to let it bother him of course. Tom himself wouldn't know what to do with himself if that were to ever happen to him and that thought frightened him.

He looked to his right to see his American friend's sleeping form. His head hung low as it almost leaned on his own shoulder. His breathing was steady and calm and made the brown curls that hung in front of face sway from side to side a bit as his breath pushed against it gently.

Tom cocked his head slightly at the side of him, taking in every small feature there was to see. From his lean figure to the small moles that dotted his cheeks to his French nose, the Brit couldn't help but feel attracted to the sleeping brunette.

He quickly averted his gaze however as he felt it to be inappropriate to look at him like that, when he was sleeping. So he started eyeing down the entrance of the building his car stood a 30 metres away from.

Several people stumbled out of the black doors that were guarded by two intimidating looking security guards. They let the people pass by though, only eyeing them down occasionally. They looked to be good at their jobs, but couldn't help but smirk at the fact that he knew that Elijah was still underage and managed to sneak past them.

As the thought of the sleeping brunette's age came up, a small frown appeared on the Brit's face. In their hour-long conversations, questions about his age never came up. The only thing he knew was that he was underage in the United States, but not in Europe, which meant that he was between the age of eighteen and twenty.

The Brit looked to his side again, trying to figure out how old the sleeping guy beside him was. He looked young, that was true, but as Tom eyed him up and down, he came to the conclusion that he probably was a little older than eighteen. Nineteen or twenty were more likely in his opinion, but he could be completely wrong.

He wanted to keep looking at him, but decided against it as he had something else to do.

Tom sat still for a good minute or two, waiting for Elijah's two friends to show up. He had probably seen them on Instagram a few times, but wanted to focus on recognising the two. Eventually he did see a small blond and a tall brunette walk out that matched the description he was given earlier.

At the side of Elijah's friends he turned to said boy and spoke up softly, "Hey, wake up."

He didn't really react so this time, Tom reached out and shook his shoulder a little, "Elijah, wake up."

The brunette frowned and let out a small groan, before opening his eyes slowly and his frown was replaced by an expression of confusion, "Where am I?"

"My car. I wanted to drive you home, but you passed out before you could send me the address." The Brit answered as he picked up Elijah's phone to call his friends.

"Oh." The groggy brunette replied, rubbing his eyes a little, "Seems legit."

Tom shook his head in amusement and opened the door of his car, leaping out of it the moment he did so, trying to reach the American's friends.

"Where are you going?" Said American asked in confusion as he also wanted to step out of the car.

The other brunette cut him off however as he sped to the other side of the car and stood in front of him, "Looking for your friends. You stay here, alright?"

"Why?"

Tom shook his head lightly at the questioning of the guy in front of him, as he still held his phone to his ear, "Because I'll be back in a minute."

"Well that's a stupid answer." Elijah huffed, but he did lean back against the car seat and let out a yawn.

Tom watched him as he yawned and shook his head again, but his attention was caught by the voice that came out of Elijah's phone, "Hey, where are you?"

"To your right." The Brit replied as he looked at the two clueless young adults that stood in front of the entrance.

As if on cue, they turned around and Tom gave them a small wave, as to let them know he was there.

The duo made their way towards the Brit's car, both with two entirely different expressions on their face. The taller brunette looked relieved and quite calm while the small blond stomped in Tom's direction with an angry expression on his face, something that scared the Brit quite a bit.

"Where is he?" The blond snapped as soon as he came in hearing distance, looking not at all pleased with the Brit.

Said Brit's eyes widened a bit at his tone and pointed to his black car a few metres behind him.

Before he could say anything else, the blue eyed blond pushed passed him, which left Tom a bit in shock.

"Don't worry about him. He's an angry drunk." The taller brunette began as he stood in front of the other brunette, looking a lot more chill, "And he's just really protective in general."

"Remind me to never mess with him." Tom noted jokingly to lighten the mood. He felt a bit uncomfortable and intimidated to be honest by the tall guy, but put out his hand, "I'm Tom by the way."

The brunette chuckled, but shook his hands, "I know, I'm Teddy. Thanks for taking care of him."

"Don't mention it." The Brit replied as he turned around to see Elijah being dragged out of the black SUV by the blond.

"That's Salem." Teddy pointed out as he too looked at the scene in front of him.

"I figured."

The brunette chuckled again and turned back to Tom, "Hey, we'll take it from here alright? Unless you want to come with?"

The Brit was quiet for a moment as he thought of the question, "Nah, mate. I've bugged him enough for tonight. Can you let me know if he does something though?"

Teddy nodded and patted the smaller brunette on the back, "Alright. Well, thanks again. I'll shoot you a DM if something happens."

Before Tom could say anything again, the tall American had already walked off to support Salem, who was having a hard time keeping Elijah upright. He wanted to say something to him, but decided against it as he saw the trio walking off in the opposite direction.

He walked back to his car and slammed the door shut, letting out a sigh in the process.

For the rest of the ride home, his mind was filled by one person only; the person that is Elijah Beck.
