Y/N's POV

Sun: Finally, she speaks! Nearly two days and you gave us nothing but small talk and weird looks!

Y/N: Yeah, tell me about it. Also, bro that was great this morning.

Sun: Thanks for saving me some pancakes they were sooooo good.

Blake gives us one of her famous looks before rolling her eyes and then closing them.

Blake: Sun, Y/N... Are you familiar with the White Fang?

Sun: Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them. Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want. Bunch of freaks, if you ask me!

Y/N: Bit harsh if you ask me but they can be quite... difficult. Although when they first started they weren't that bad.

Blake: *sips on her tea* I was once a member of the White Fang.

Sun choked on his drink, making him have to put it down.

Y/N: Wait you didn't see that coming? Belladonna ain't the most common of last names.

Sun: No! *he turns to Blake* You were a member of the White Fang?!

Blake: That's right. I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could almost say I was born into it... Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between all creatures. Of course, despite being promised equality, most non-Faunus creatures were subject to discrimination and hat. Faunus still thought of them as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang rose up as a voice for those who didn't have one. And I was there. I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott. I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just a youthful optimist.

Y/N: I mean, It's appreciated Blake but they shouldn't have counted us out for the count.

Blake: Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were being replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve non-Faunus, hijacking cargo form companies that used non-Faunus labour, and then we started recruiting non-Faunus, attacking with their strange new powers. The worst part about all of it was, it was working. The non-Faunus were being treated as equals. But not out of respect... out of fear. For if one Human could take down a whole army on their own, then what could the whole race do...

Blake put down her teacup in front of a stunned Sun and I just looked to the sky.

Blake: So, I left. I decided I no longer wanted to use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am, a criminal hiding in plain view.

Y/N: It wouldn't take the whole race...

Blake: What?

Y/N: I said, it wouldn't take the whole race.

Sun: What do you mean by that bro?

I looked down my eyes had obviously changed by the way Blake reacted.

Y/N: It would only take me to wipe Faunus off the face of the planet. After all, I am the strongest player.

With that, I sealed my power again, my eyes returning to their normal E/C.

Sun: *turns to blake* S-So... have you told your friends any of this?

Blake just looked down in shame.

Y/N: Apart from you and I, no she has not.

We finished with me paying for the drinks and dropped down to an alley nearby.

Sun: *hands behind his head* So, what's the plan now?

Blake contemplates for a bit before answering.

Blake: I still don't believe the White Fang is behind these robberies. They've never needed that much Dust before.

Y/N: I have an idea of why they might need that much.

Blake/Sun: What?

Y/N: Humans can use their Aura to do several things, one of which can manipulate the elements.

Blake thought for a moment and her ears shot up.

Blake: And with that much Dust...

Y/N: They could create a very big bomb or several strong little ones.

Sun: But why would they need that?

Y/N: Who knows...

You look to the sky again.

Y/N: *This couldn't be the same Remnant... could it?*

We had decided on finding out if it really was the White Fang and I was stationed at a rooftop not too far from Blake and Sun but far enough that they wouldn't get in the way if I had to get serious.

Roman: The White Fang and I are going in on a joint business venture together!

Blake: Tell me what it is or I'll put an end to your little operation.

The sound of Bullheads filled the air as massive gusts of wind blew into the shipyard.

Roman: I wouldn't exactly call it a little operation...

I looked up to see two Bullheads with several White Fang members who jump down to assist Roman. Blake jumps away as Roman fires his cane at her feet. Just then I noticed a Human by their darker uniforms.

Y/N: Fuck.

I dropped down and stroll over.

Y/N: Oi, you!

The guy turned around, pointing to himself.

Y/N: Yes, you! Who else?

He looked confused but then summoned a ball of plasma and shot it at me. I merely stepped out of the way.

Y/N: Now that isn't very nice. Have it back.

I put out a hand stopping the rather large ball and flung it back at him, he barely dodged it before dusting himself off and pulling out his scroll.

???: Come down here. Now.

More people dropped from the bullhead, Including a familiar face.

Y/N: Hey Neo, haven't seen you in a while.

Neo looked at you surprised, then she ran over and hugged you. She looked up and pulled out her scroll pointing to several missed calls.

Y/N: Yeah, yeah I was out of Scroll service for a while, Ok.

The White Fang members looked even more confused as to how you understood her. She pouted before going back to hugging you.

Y/N: Neo, I should probably mention that this is a fight and I'm the one who's fighting you...

She looked up to you and made a few gestures to you.

Y/N: Yes I know you could never beat me even with these people but they don't know that.

She sighed.

Y/N: Look I won't hurt you, just let me have this. Please?

She sighed again and shrugged holding up her scroll with 'Fine. But you owe me big time for this!' written on it.

Y/N: 3 tubs?

She held up her hand with four fingers up.

Y/N: Ok, fine... What are those?

She lost her bounce and looked at me with a face of anguish. She put up her scroll and on it was two words that made me almost lose it.

She smiled before skipping back over to her side as she turned around and put on her game face. (A/N: Neo is human BTW.)

Human Fang member: Now that's done... Get him!

I pulled out my katana and activated its lightning dust form along with my gun, firing ice Dust infused Voidium bullets and my eyes turned gold and crimson

The words on Neo's scroll were Help Me.

Ruby's POV

I felt a strong presence descend around the shipyard as Penny stepped up to attack Roman.

Ruby: Penny, wait! Stop!

Penny: Don't worry, Ruby. I'm combat ready!

Her backpack opened and out of it, a single floating sword came out which then multiplied into several blades all hovering behind Penny's back. She jumped from the rooftop we were on and used the swords to start destroying the White Fang members.

*BOOOOM*

I looked to the side to see a massive explosion and Y/N holding a girl before placing her on a rooftop. He then turned his attention to three Bullheads that came down and began spraying bullets at the battle. He noticed me and teleported over.

Y/N: Now before you say anything Neo is just a friend.

Ruby: Where have you been!?

Y/N: I was helping Blake.

Ruby: You could have told us!

Y/N: She needed some time to think, and so did I.

Ruby: About what!?

Y/N: My past, and my future.

He looked to me as he said that last part and I noticed his eyes were gold and crimson. He turned back to the fight looking off into the distance as if he wasn't really there.

Ruby: Huh?

Y/N: Holy shit, Gears is pretty cool huh?

Ruby: Yeah...

We looked to see Penny pulling down a Bullhead with her swords and then blowing it up.

Y/N: Definitely Atlas.

(Timeskip brought to you by Neo getting back to the hideout only to find 4 tubs of her favourite Cookies and Cream Ice-cream in the fridge.)

Y/N's POV

After all that crazy, we met up with Weiss and Yang.

Ruby: Look, Weiss, it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing and-

Blake: Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when I was with them-

Weiss: Stop! Do you have any idea of how long we've been searching for you?

She paused

Weiss: Twelve hours. That means I've had twelve hours to think about his. And in those twelve hours, I've decided... I don't care.

Blake looked at her surprised, Her ears standing up.

Blake: You don't care?

Weiss: You said you're not one of them anymore, right?

This went on for a bit and I tuned out but soon they all turned to me.

Yang: Y/N, Y/N

Y/N: *slightly startled* Y-Yeah?

Ruby: You all good?

Y/N: Yeah just tuned out for a sec.

Blake: Then I'll ask you again. What was that thing back there with your eyes.

Ruby: Yeah you still haven't explained from the whole Cardin thing.

I sighed rubbing my neck.

Y/N: It's better if I get all of you here for it. Let's go back to Beacon and grab JNPR.

(Timeskip)

We had gotten back to Beacon and grabbed Team JNPR they were all currently sitting around Team RWBY's dorm.

Jaune: Alright, spill.

Nora: Yeah, what is that whole thing it's like you aren't Faunus or Human.

I looked up for a bit trying to figure out how to say this before I turned to them again and inhaled.

Y/N: Well you're not wrong, Technically I'm neither.

Team RWBY, JNPR, and Sun: What?

Y/N: Well, you see... You guys know that other creature apart from Faunus and Humans exist, Right?

Yang: Yeah...?

Y/N: I guess you could say I'm... Something like that.

Ren: What do you mean?

Y/N: It's kinda hard to explain, I'm human, but not. Do any of you understand what I'm saying?

They all looked at each other.

Ruby: Not really...

Y/N: Let's just say that I'm human, Ok?

Sun: Yeah...

Y/N: Well I have a few titles, such as The Strongest Player or The Strongest Human...

Pyrrha: Wait, you're The Strongest Player!?

Y/N: Yeah. The whole eye thing is my power. The more I use the more my eyes change until I hit max and they sort of look like the thing in the centre of my emblem but only around the circles. One of them turns fully white with a black pupil, the other black with a white pupil.

Jaune: So that means...

Y/N: That I am extremely strong, unfairly so in fact. I understand if you guys think differently of me.

The room fell silent and team JNPR and Sun looked down

Ruby: Well you're still you! So it doesn't matter how strong you are!

Yang: Yeah! Just means you've been holding back on us!

Weiss: I would like to thank you. My father told me a story of how someone who called himself The Strongest Player saved his workers from a collapsing mine.

Blake: You were at several protests stopping people fro attack the protesters, so I know you aren't a bad person.

The rest of the room regain their normal smiles.

Nora: Yeah that whole thing with the pancakes was great!

Ren: You may be strong but you are also humble and kind, that's a good person in my books.

Jaune: You help me train and get better, and you believe in me why would I ever hate you!

Pyrrha: I would like to ask for a rematch, I fought you at a festival and you just dropped out of the fight just when it was getting good!

Sun: You're an awesome dude who's great to hang out with!

Y/N: Guys...

Team RWBY: Besides your still a part of our team!

Y/N: Thanks...

The rest of the night was spent having fun, playing games, telling stories, and just being friends. But you felt something was off... something... nefarious...

A/N: 2044 words Woo hoo that's a pretty good Volume finale if I do say so myself. I probably won't do a bonus chapter this volume but hey maybe later I'll come back to it.
