Ruby's POV

I hear the sound of an emergency alarm blaring as her vision comes back with buildings into her view. I turn my head to the lower right and sees Blake and Yang slowly getting back up, my sister coughing as the dust settles. I turn my head again and sees Weiss sitting up against a large piece of debris, who also gives a thumbs up at her team leader signalling she's okay. I sit back up. The team of huntresses then notice, much to their chagrin, that they have returned to the central part of Vale, and multiple civilians in the area notice them among the debris. I hear the sound of low rumbles and growls from behind her. Suddenly, a giant King Taijitu emerges from the hole, and multiple Grimm start pouring into Vale. The civilians scream as they attempt to flee the chaos. The sounds of screams and roars fill the air, and all we could do is watch in horror. My expression changes from worried and scared to angry and determined. The alarm continues to blare. I look to the right and see the most horrible sight I will ever see. Y/N was impaled on a steel rod that was sticking out of the ground and a dark mist floated around him, his eyes were closed and he lay there motionless the blood streaming down from his chest.

Ruby: Y/N, NO!

I began sobbing and dropped to my knees as my vision became blurry and then turned red.

Yang's POV

I looked in shock as I saw Y/N's body lying motionless and Ruby fell to her knees sobbing and crying Y/N's name, her eyes began to glow erratically and a red aura surrounded her, as Grimm began to approach her they turned to rose petals and those petals fell to the ground and formed a shape, Y/N's face. I turned and saw Weiss and Blake in similar positions to Ruby, suddenly around Blake gross disfigured creatures appeared and began to attack the Grimm, it looked like her semblance as they were making similar moves to Blake's fighting style but they weren't normal, they could take more than one hit and were moving of their own accord, something was going wrong. Weiss was surrounded by glyphs each with a creature of white colour coming out of them and they all had elemental properties, those then began to attack the Grimm. Finally, I looked at my hands they were shaking and I gave up, I gave into my rage and my semblance activated, constantly I felt myself getting stronger as my wings opened and I shot forward attacking the Grimm at speeds faster than I had ever reached before, my vision faded as I began to do this mindlessly and became trapped in a yellow void with Y/N's body right in the middle still impaled on that steel rod lifeless. I cried into that void and just collapsed.

Y/N's POV

Darkness. That was all I saw. I felt something sticking in my chest.

Y/N: What the-

I reach my hand up and felt cold metal. My vision returned and so did my hearing.

Shinketsu: Y/N!

Y/N: I'm up, I'm up. Calm down.

Shinketsu:  *panicked and worried* You have to help your friends!

Y/N: What do you- Oh no.

I looked out and saw that all of team RWBY had lost control of their emotions and their semblances were going haywire. I pulled myself up and Shinketsu formed on me as the wound in my chest closed. Unsealing 5%, I blasted several Grimm in the area, destroying them instantly, then I walked over to Ruby who was the closest.
