"There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed man long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter."
~Ernest Hemingway

It has been three years now since I got a call from Professor Willard one fateful morning. Three years since I boarded a train towards Dublin. Three years since I joined Willard's team on the hunt for Vampires. Three years since I met Yuliy again and wasn't the last Sirius anymore.

Honestly, the time with Willard was probably the best I ever had. At least after the incident. Dorothea was overjoyed to have another woman on the team and we quickly grew close. It was nice to have another female to talk to, especially on those days. Seriously, three other males on the team didn't help in the slightest.

Fallon was a funny person to have around, as he always knew how to lighten up a situation. Even though he was a giant, he was more like a cuddly bear. What worried me though was his fondness of alcohol. Well, if I ever need someone to recommend me some drinks, I know who I'm going to ask.

Philip was the youngest in the team. He is actually still a mystery for me. The one moment, he is all cheery and happy and the next he annoyed by everything and everyone around him. I had the feeling he wasn't very fond of Yuliy, but why I didn't know. Still, he was reliable and nice to talk with.

With Yuliy, things were basically like before. After I talked things out with him, the day we met again, everything was the same. We were back to teasing each other, cracking jokes and goof around like before. Sure, we were Jaeger now and quite a bit older too, but that only made things better. Since Yuliy and I knew each other, it wasn't hard to grow accustomed to fighting back to back. In addition, we are both Sirius, so we could adapt to each other's fighting styles easily.

The others were quite shocked that Yuliy and I knew each other. Probably because one: The chances that the new teammate would be someone he knew was basically zero. Well, one I guess. And two: They thought Yuliy was the last Sirius. Much as I thought, I was the last. We were all proven wrong by fate. Or Professor Willard. As the others seemed puzzled over our 'I thought you were dead!' conversation, the Professor merely started laughing.

Turns out, he planned the whole thing. After he found out I was a Sirius, he contacted the HQ and they agreed to me joining his team. He told neither of us in order to 'not spoil the surprise'. And yes, Yuliy and I were both mad at him for three weeks straight. Don't tell him, but we were secretly thankful this whole time, we just wanted to tease him a little.

Well, after things settled down we took on missions like all the other teams. Over the years, we became some sort of oiled machine that worked flawlessly. It was nice to have partners who always watched your back. Especially when you're fighting Vampires. Speaking of which, we got a lead regarding a Vampire Royal by the name of Kerschner a little while ago. We followed him for quite some time now, only to lose track of him when we were about to catch him.

However, we wouldn't be Jaeger if we gave up at this point. And so, we used Professor Willard's mysterious 'connections' and all kind of little tricks to find him again. It was some work, that's for sure, but in the end we finally found him. Of course we immediately went after him.

Thus, an interesting journey began.

Yuliy and I were currently walking down a street of Shanghai, heading towards the meeting place. The street was filled with humans enjoying the city's nightlife, heading from one bar to the next or searching for the best club to party in. The few shops that were still open lit up the street, helping the street lamps with their job. Aside from the partying people und drunkards chasing each other like kids playing tag, the streets were surprisingly calm.
