"Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only saps today of its joy."
~Leo Buscaglia

"It's so heavy!"

Philip complained as he dropped even more files onto the small table standing in the middle of the common room. By now, the table practically drowned in all those papers. Police reports, newspapers and everything akin to that. Dorothea had actually managed to get access to this kind of information, hopefully giving us some kind of clue regarding the Vampires.

After the incident with Dr. Hanada, we had lost them again and were now back to square one. Hence, we were in desperate need of any type of lead. Well even though that was true, I still excused myself by pulling out my sketches. I don't think I have the nerve to drag myself through these endless mountains of paperwork.

Instead, I was well hidden by them, protecting my sketches from prying eyes. Honestly, I'm even wondering how I even have enough space to work here, but I'm not going to question this table. Although the space was really cramped, I still found enough room for me and my sketches, so I'm not going to complain.

Fallon set next to me at the table, reading over some files he got from the endless piles in front of him. He has been sitting there the whole day by now. I wonder how many files he read already. Honestly though, it's strange to see someone like Fallon sit in a chair that was way too small for him, doing paperwork. It's simply not what you would expect when you see him.

Dorothea stood behind me at her favorite window spot, holding a file in one hand. I don't even think she moved from there once this entire time. I always wondered why she was reading while standing, but I never asked her about it. It was just some weird tick of hers.

Yuliy chose his usual spot in the corner of the room, not cleaning his weapon for once. Instead, he too was holding one of the files in his hands, reading it quietly. Around him were the files that didn't fit on the table anymore, crowding the floor.

Most of the time, it had stayed quiet in the room as everyone was working on something. However, this wasn't the suffocating silence of yesterday. No, this was the kind of comfortable silence I enjoyed to work in. A silence were you heard nothing but the ticking of the clock and the occasional ruffling of paper. Honestly, I needed this more often.

"Good work." Fallon complimented the blonde as he sat down in the chair across from the red-haired giant. "Why aren't you working, too?" Philip complained even more, sinking into the chair he was sitting in. To be honest, sometimes I wondered if Philip could do something else besides complaining.

"I'm more the intellectual type." Said the man with super human strength. Well, never mind I'm not going to say anything about this. "Alright and what about you Laika?" I looked up from my plans and sketches to look at the small blonde, who looked at me with a accusing look on his face. It seems as if he was desperately searching for someone who could do his work for him.

"Well, I'm working on the weapons you are going to fight with. So do me a favor and let me work, if you want to live a few more years." I saw how the blond scoffed at me from the corner of my eye as I lowered my gaze back onto the drafts before me. For a little while, the silence returned to the room as everyone continued with what they were doing. It seemed as if no matter how much the Jaeger read, they weren't finding anything. Not a single clue.

At least that's what I thought until Dorothea suddenly spoke up behind me, her voice ripping through the silence.

"That's strange." She simply stated without further explanation. After she caught my attention, I turned around in my chair in order to look at the tan woman. She wasn't looking up from the paper in her hands, apparently reading it over and over in order to be sure.
