Patrick's POV

It's raining super hard. I can barely see two feet in front of my. The only thing stopping me from hitting the car in front of me is the glow of the red lights on the back of their car. I have to get to Pete before it's too late.

Traffic is moving slow for safety reasons, but I can't help but wish they would go faster. I start tapping my foot and growing impatient.

Thoughts of Pete are keeping me calm. His smile, the way he laughs with his whole body. They way he purses his lips when he's concentrating on writing a song. The expression he makes when he has to change a line in the song. The way he can make me feel like I matter. When I don't even feel like smiling sometimes and he breaks through that and finds a way to make me laugh. I don't know where I would be without him.

Traffic moves slowly. The rain gets heavier. Why didn't the weather woman forecast this. I start to get a bad feeling in my gut. It isn't safe to be out here driving in this, but in almost to Pete's. I can make it. I just can't get distracted. I have to stay focused on the road.

I don't go over 30 mph. I get honked at, but I don't care. Safety first.

My phone starts to ring. I ignore it. Then it goes off again and again and again. This person has called me six times at this point. I grab it and pick it up. It must be pretty important if they had to call me six freaking times.

"Hello." I answer slightly annoyed.

"Hey Trick." Pete replies. I'm instantly calmed by his voice.

"What's up?" I said

"Are you driving?"

"Yes."

"You need to pull over. I need to talk to you. It's too dangerous to be driving right now. Let alone talking and driving at the same time."

"It's okay Pete. I can let you go. I'm almost to your house. Whatever you want to talk to me about we can talk about when I get there."

He was quiet for a few moments. "Why are you coming over?"

"Cause I have to tell you something too."

"How far away on you?"

"I'm turning onto your street right now." I said

I almost miss Pete's street because of how thick the rain is. I turn onto his street and suddenly I hear a loud bang, I lurch violently forward, then back. Then suddenly everything goes black.
