Pete's POV

The last thing I heard was a loud crash and then the line go dead. I kicked by a rush of adrenaline and ran out the door. Patrick, I have to get to Patrick. He has to be okay. Please just let him be okay. Half way there tears start streaming down my face. The rain started to lighten up. I can almost see the end of my street, though I didn't want to. I saw smoke and a twisted heap of metal. My heart started to break and the tears came faster and harder.

"Patrick!!" I yelled his name in hopes he might hear me and he'll answer, but he didn't. I called his name again and still no answer.

I got to the crash site and it was terrible and I sighed. It wasn't Patrick's car. It was a fire hydrant that was spewing water upwards with a pile of junk metal beside it. His car is down at the very end and is was up against a stop sign. I ran to his car and he's no where in sight.

"Patrick!" I called and no answer. The rain had become a shower instead of a downpour. I could see clearly even though it was raining and I saw him walking towards my house. How did I miss him? how could he not hear me?

I ran up to him calling his name and half way there he stopped and turned and yelled for me and started running at me.

We collided in a fierce hug. His fedora had fallen off on impact.

"Oh my god, you're okay. I was so worried that you had gotten in a bad accident and..." I sighed "I don't know what I would have done if-" he stops me.

"I'm fine Pete really." He says as he hugs me tighter.

I lean back so I can see him. His face is beautiful and pure perfection. His eyes, his lips, his voice.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I ask

He smirks a bit and his eyes meet mine for a moment then his eyes look down at my lips then back to my eyes. Time seems to slow and he leans forward and I lean forward. One of his hands comes up to the side of my face and the other to my waist and he pulls me closer. Then slowly, his lips meet mine. I lean in to deepen the kiss. He let's out a small moan. Our bodies are pressed up against each other's and we stand there kissing passionately in the rain. When we break apart he says to me three words I've been longing to hear him say since the day I met him.

"I love you Pete."

I smile. "I love you too." I say and I lean in and kiss him again. He smiles against my lips. It was in that moment that the rain had finally stopped and the sun had starting shining through the clouds. Ending the storm.
