should approaching ship prove ill-intentioned.
Praise the Goddess they are in fine fettle*,
for rending ship insists no abstention.
Brutally eager and approaching fast,
the ship resembles a malicious shark
the girls are sobered though somewhat aghast,
so cruelly leer eyes* on zeroing bark.
Penelope's grim grey eyes hold counsel,
weighing the peril, assessing choices,
she coolly arrives at shrewd espousal*
issues commands in calmest of voices.
Though untried in battle, Penelope
is inspired by divine epiphany.
