Does only one man object to child's fate?
Only one say: This shall not be allowed,
I refuse to abuse, choose to protect.
'What is your name?' Penelope questions,
'Ampelios, taken from Macedon.'
Although she has only brief impression,
she has more than enough to act upon.
'Build him a raft,' to pirates she calls out,
'let him row here, then take back the child.'
'No!' Ampelios thunderously shouts,
'to do so would leave me feeling defiled.'
'Do as I ask and you may be surprised,'
says Penelope flashing fired, grey eyes.
