'How well I know that, have known all my life.
Is it not lodged deeper than hard thrust knife?'
'Were I not born, you would feel no fury,
were I not born; to none, an injury.'
'Tis not your existence that hurts me child,
your obstinate persistence keeps me riled.
Over all our lives do the Fates, preside,
too long, the manifest have you denied.'
'I will not save life by dooming Bion*!'
'You'll not save either by being stubborn!
The path intended cannot be erased.'
'I am tired of this life in any case.'
'Let the boy die, let him go willingly.'
'Fulfil vile prophecy by killing me.'
*Bion = Boy's name meaning life, hence the intended irony.https://ithaka.wikispaces.com/file/view/Odysseus1-vi.jpg/59448160/Odysseus1-vi.jpg
