Three Little Words

I don't say 'I love you' very often,

Because I've learned

That if you say something too many times,

It loses its meaning

And its value.

When I build sentences

I want them to have an impact,

Induce a reaction,

Create unheard of emotions.

I am not wasteful with my words.

You would think, then,

That I would be able

To impeccably commission words

To convey my thoughts.

But more often than not, I am left speechless.

Know this, however: No matter what I don't say, I love you.
