"I am owed souls, my sister." Her inky cold presence rouses the spirits surrounding my home. Chilling. Frightening.
"You arenot." is my response. I continue, "Or Have you forgotten it was your part in this matter which created the monster my children banished." Remembering their sacrifice and the departure of my only child because of her, seeking to reunite with his mate. The mate she killed.
My gaze unwavering remains connected to hers. Her own death gaze becomes cold anger stirring to life. From Iku Goddess of death, I felt pulsating energy of death radiate outwards. Coming from the very black aura she is emitting. Tendrils form behind her, extending further outwards, seeking to consume life.
Her skeletal hand holding the scythe for a moment rattles it on my floor. Tap.Tap. "Your children?" Her tone reveals her fester & hatred "YOUR CHILDREN!!" She had previously remained standing by one of my windows facing outwards, her back to me.
Her gaze set onto the dreary coldness, which has become my home. Thanks to the treachery of our sister, Yemaya. The array of tombstones and, from her presence, rising cadavers staring back at her.
She turns facing me, her aura oozing even more black energy. Her tone sending ripples of numbing ice to the nerves of humans. Does not hold the same effect me. "Have you forgotten my dear sister Oya. TWO of YOUR CHILDREN ARE MINE!!" with her one step towards me. The souls in my yard howl like banshees and respond. Freeing themselves from their tombs, amassing to enter and attack her.
In one motion, from my sitting position I stand meeting her approach. Reaching for my ignited sickles. The tension within my voice cold, unfettered. Its tone releases my power and my intent. "Do not forget your place SISTER IN MY HOME! Lest I approach OLOFI and inform him of your treachery."
Iku stops, not taking another step. Her cold, soulless orange-yellow fire orbs, brighten within their hollow sockets. Displaying her seething anger.
At my request, a lightning encased tornado expands high above us. Then, like an arrow fired. Races downwards Its destructive force craters on impact, into my yard. Ripping asunder the ground beneath. Headstones lift and debris fly in all directions sucked into it. My tornado stands whirling within the heart of my graveyard, awaiting my instructive. And still the dead rise.
Seeing my reaction coupled with the rising dead souls, Iku steps back turning from me walking instead to the doorway of my home. Arriving, she turns to meet my irritated gaze. Anger in her gaze from my words. Struggling to regain her composure, she manages a sinister grin. Her leer icy. "I will have what is rightfully mine Oya. THEY are rightfully MINE!."
Clouds blacken as lighting zigzags downwards from the sky, itself breaking into a crooked trident. It strikes the ground and incinerates it.
The smell of burning decaying flesh fans throughout the cemetery as the stricken dead continue emerging from their tombs.
"Sister Iku. Have you forgotten why I took them from you?" My piercing ice-cold stare combined with an equally chilling tone of maliciousness. The dark pleasure I had when the all-father approved my request to place Iku's cubs in more CAPABLE hands Influences my smile.
My words meant to provoke and humiliate her. "You grew jealous of your own children and abandoned them. Leaving Yegua to consume them. All for a consort who neither chose nor desired you. But rather chose YOUR SON. OR dear sister. Have you forgotten?"
My words falling like acid on her dead ears. Shattering her unearthly stoic composure. My sister's reaction matches that of my cemetery estate, dead, cold.....Empty.
Her hooded cloak falls backward revealing her true form. A skeletal head, missing teeth, wisps of hair attached to a skull with unholy cracks through which fire flickers escaping. Only her eyes showed life. Crimson red orbs animating from within black empty sockets. It is HER composure; I see break.
"Do not push me OYA!"
Her seething anger boils to the surface, reminding me how she feels robbed of what she most desires. "He would have chosen me. If it were not FOR THAT MIDLING I BORE." Once more Iku attempts to compose herself. Only this time, she fails saying more than she should have.
The evilness within her smirk as she poises her head slightly downwards my way. Words come forth smooth, soft. Identical to a snake's silent poison. With Iku's emotional reaction, I saw she still felt the sting of rejection.
But it is Iku's next serpentine words I was not prepared for. "Besides sister. It is not my fault your MATE attempted to kill your ONLY CHILD. The one who took wolf form. Forever." Oya's next words tell me..I struck a celestial nerve.
Rage floods me. Because of her pettiness, all this happened. I want to kill her. But it is not our way and father would not be pleased. Instead, "Leave."
The rooted loathing I hold for her is beyond contempt and it shows "LEAVE NOW! Lest I forget the law of our Baba and end your existence".
Lightning dances downwards from the sky into my summoned tornado. The previous still standing tornado reacts, directing the lightning outwards in all directions seen as whips lashing in all directions.
Explosively clearing tombstones and bones. Leaving in its wake, ignited fire tracks of charring, moving cadavers and black raceway in my cemetery.
As if given purpose anew. The previously resting cadavers themselves come forth. Melting flesh and boned fingers appear like sprouting plants breaking the crusted surface. My fire sickles resting at my sides also react.
Igniting with Infernus burning weapons of blue and white flames on my right and left sides. Still, my sister reveals one more twist to the extent of her treachery as she becomes living vapors fading into the wind.
"Oh, dear sister Oya. YOU are not the only one with warriors. I will give your regards to your former lover... Lycaon" and before I can react, she is gone. Not realizing, within her last words. She has revealed her plan.
My eyelids open wide with the realization. I know what my dead baby sister is planning: "Thank you, sister. For with those words. For in your words, you have revealed your hand."Turning from my doorway I focus my thoughts. "I must inform Estrella" reaching for her privately through our wulf speak. "It. Is time Estrella. Prepare my sister. Prepare. For fate turns her wheels."
