We arrived to his office. "DAD" I yell as I was basically grabbed harshly by the wrist out of the car.
"I DON'T WANT THEM" I yell as tears start to fill my eyes.
We got to the exam room where I was let go and there stood dad blocking my exit and dr. Grey waiting for me on the stool
"I don't have all day! Dr. Wolfe" Dr. grey complains
Tears were in my eyes. I figured there was no where out of this. I gathered enough courage and sat in the chair.
A bib was placed on me and some molds were taking which were so Gross!
Then the chair was reclined back and an orthodontic examination was being took place.
"Dr.wolfe I think he needs headgear he has a overbite" Dr. Grey explains
Dad sits next to me with gloves and a mask and examines my mouth to double check to see if I really need whatever this thing is.
"I think he does" Dad says examining my mouth. Then gets up and takes his gloves off and lowers the mask.
They switch places and Dr. grey takes over again.
"Now to give your teeth a deep cleaning what flavor toothpaste we got mint, grape, watermelon, and cookie dough" Dr grey explains
"Cookie dough" I say in a unhappy tone.
Dr. Grey begins giving me a deep cleaning. I give my dad an evil look. He just shrugs it off.
Once the deep cleaning was over. That's when I flipped. I jumped out of the chair.
"I DON'T WANT BRACES" I scream and start to cry
"Please Sebastian don't act like this" dad said
I was sobbing
"I'll take you to Roller coaster world and get you whatever you want" dad said
That put a smile on my face and I sat in the chair. I stopped crying
"Dad I'm scared" I whine
"It will be fine" dad said and stroked my hair.
"I'm gonna use a mouth prop to help me get to the back teeth" dr. Grey says
A mouth prop was placed in. When I saw the brackets on the tray a tear slipped down my cheek but it was quickly wiped away by my dad.
The brackets were glued on one by one they felt very weird on my teeth "this doesn't hurt I thought they hurt" I question
"Well I didn't put the wire in yet" Dr. grey said as she was cutting the wire.
"So the wire activates them or something" I asked
My dad nods. And the mouth prop was taken out.
"What color bands would you like we got all colors of the rainbow" Dr. grey says handing me a sheet with the color band choices on it
"Can I have two colors one color for top one color for the bottom" I asked
Dr. Grey nodded
"I'll have Dark blue and black" I say
"Good choice" Dr. grey says as she grabs the two colors
I open my mouth really wide and the bands were placed on my teeth. It felt weird.
Then came the wire which left my teeth aching.
I rubbed my cheek "ouch"
"Now lastly for the headgear" she says as the chair was put back to its normal state. The headgear was attached on. Then she hands me a mirror. I look hideous
"I look hideous!" I yell
"You only have to wear the headgear for 12 hours a day." Dr. Grey explains
"That means i have to wear it to school" I whine
"Well Unfortunately Yes you have too Also YOU CANT EAT OR BRUSH YOUR TEETH WITH THE HEADGEAR IN YOU MUST REMOVE IT" Dr. Grey explains
"Wait... headgear can be removed how?" I ask
"It's pretty easy I'll show you" Dad said as he demonstrates how to remove it and puts it back in.
"Will you do it for me?" I ask
"Of course bud" Dad said
A little bit later we went home... I looked like a freak I bet I will get bullied..... I look like a nerd with this and my glasses...
