Chapter 15- Brace check

Four weeks has passed and gets its time to get my braces tightened by Dr. Grey

Dad locks up the house and both of us proceeded to the car and get in then buckled up then dad starts the car and backs out of the driveway.

We drove to the office I didn't talk much as I wasn't really in the mood to go get my braces tightened and knowing that they will hurt like hell after they are tightened maybe dad will buy me ice cream. Who knows?

We park in the parking lot of the office. Hop out, lock the car, and proceeded into the main entrance.
That sterile smell hit me like a wall of bricks I hated that smell so much it makes me dizzy literally!

Dad leads me through and into an exam room then he instructed me to sit in the chair. I sat obediently as I don't wanna get yelled at because I know what my Dad is capable of bringing the flashbacks back in my mind this very second Made shivers go down my spine

5 min later Dr. Grey comes in with her tray of tools and sets it down on the stand. "Hey Sebastian How are you?" She said now sitting in the stool getting gloves and a mask on then reclined me back almost immediately

I shrugged hopefully giving her the signal that I did not want to be there.

"I know you don't wanna be here please open" she says as she posited the light over my mouth she held a mirror and explorer one in each hand.

I opened and let her examine my mouth. She soon took the tools out of my mouth then grabbed the wire cutters and started cutting the wires until there was no more wire in my mouth then she removed the bands from my mouth.

"What color bands will you like this time?" Dr. Grey said

"Red" I say she turns around and starts going through cabinets and grabs the red bands.

I open my mouth back up and she starts putting the bands on my teeth. Then came the wire 5 minutes later which aches like hell. Once she was done she set her tools back in the tray

"Move your tongue around over the wire to see if any wire is poking" she says

I did what I was told and luckily no wire poked me. "All's good" I say

She smiled and started cleaning up the exam room. "So Dr.Wolfe his braces can come off at the next brace appointment" she said

I looked at her with excitement in my eyes. "It's about time done with those braces" I joked

"But you have to wear a retainer to keep your teeth aligned" she explained

I slouched in my seat. "What's a retainer?" I asked

She explained what it was and I got it. It sounded like they didn't hurt. 10 min later me and dad were walking out the exit and to the car

"So you excited to be getting your braces off?" Dad said now unlocking the car.

"Yea" I say as I got in the car and buckle my seatbelt dad did the same

"That's good" he said now starting up the car

"Can we get some ice cream for my poor aching mouth?" I begged

He rolled his eyes. "Fine" He says as he drives to our local ice cream parlor.

I got my favorite. Cookies and cream, dads is plain vanilla he is so boring he wants to avoid sugar at all costs!

We get home a little later. Dad cooked dinner then we ate then watched a movie then I went upstairs brushed my teeth and headed off to bed

I can't wait to get my braces off...
