felix knocked on the door to changbin's apartment and waited patiently for the other to answer. he fiddled with his hearing aid for a few moments. after waiting a few seconds, changbin opened the door. felix smiled widely, waving at the boy. changbin welcomed him in and felix took off his shoes.

"your roommate is never here," felix hummed, walking further into the apartment.

"hongjoong hyung was here this morning, but he's spending tonight with his fiance because they're going out tomorrow," changbin replied. he walked to the living room after felix. "can I get you something to drink?"

"no, I'm good," felix smiled. "how was your day, binnie?"

changbin groaned tiredly, walking to the open floor kitchen to pour himself a glass of water. "tiring. my boss yelled at me for messing up an order and I almost got fired. there was a special up, so we had 300 times more customers than usual." he walked to the living room and sat down on the couch.

"aw, that sucks," felix said, putting a hand on changbin's back. "I saw choi san today. did you tell him where I worked or something?"

"no," changbin replied. "did you two talk? I'm still sure that you two deserve to be together more than the two of us."

"nonsense," felix scolded, pointing a finger threateningly. "I'll kill you, don't say that. I like you a lot, binnie. I don't like san like that anymore. but he did ask me out."

"did you say yes?" changbin asked carefully.

"well — kind of. you see, on Saturday, it's that mauve festival thing, and I was hoping we could go together. I kind of made an excuse to choi san, saying that maybe my friends would want to go as a group. I also told him that I was kind of hoping you would take me, but I didn't mention your name."

changbin sighed and looked at his lap. "it's okay if you still like him, lix. I wasn't your first option in the beginning, and I understand."

felix turned to changbin, cupping his cheeks in his hands with a stern look in his eyes. "look. I will have beautiful babies with you one day. stop thinking so negatively. we will have a gorgeous future together with little binnies running around. we're soulmates, okay? I just had a crush on choi san, but… I… I l-love you. a lot. so stop it."

changbin stared with big eyes. "y-you love me…?"

felix nodded, his cheeks tinting a soft pink. "I love you a lot. if you think it's too soon, then okay, b-but I want to say it now."

changbin stared at him. "I love you too."

felix's grip became more gentle as he stroked changbin's chubby cheek with his thumb. they stared in silence, expressions unchanging. changbin raised a hand, putting it over felix's softly. felix felt changbin's silent agreement to his equally silent question — as if they had let each other know that it was okay just by looking into each other's eyes.

felix slowly leaned forward, their faces a mere inches apart when felix felt changbin's panic. he stopped, looking into changbin's eyes. not yet, his eyes told him. felix nodded, pulling away again. changbin's cheeks were so warm and red, it actually made felix smile widely.

"you're so cute," felix giggled. changbin grunted and pushed felix's hands away, his cheeks dying down in heat slightly.

"you're cuter," he mumbled, turning away stubbornly. "one day, I'll tell you why we can't date yet, and why we can't kiss yet."

felix smiled, wrapping his arms around changbin's neck from behind. "that's okay. I'll wait for you."

"you can date choi san while you wait."

"stop that, oh my god. what's your deal with that, you're so annoying."
