Kai had woken up with a smile on his face. This was definitely a first for him. He was so happy that he had something to smile about. Today was Saturday, which meant that Valerie was coming over and Kai was weirdly nervous. Sage had come up to him last night, practically drilling him with questions about her. Kai had promised her that nothing was going on between them, but he wasn't so sure that Valerie understood that nothing was going on between them. Kai had already taken a shower and brushed his teeth, so he had taken to playing a game on his phone. He was getting quite bored, so he thought he would go check on Sage.
Kai yawned heavily, and he got up to go to Sage and Eden's room. Eden was already up, and she was stressing about the state of the apartment in the kitchen. "Morning. You look beautiful." Kai greeted.
Eden rolled her eyes. "I put on my makeup in the dark because Sage wouldn't let me turn on the lights. But, thanks." She said, skeptically. Kai felt bad that she was the only one cleaning up. Eden started cleaning the counter with a cloth, and her back turned away from Kai.
Kai walked over to her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "Hey, I'll get everyone up to help, okay?" He whispered into her ear. Eden turned around and she smiled brightly.
"I was hoping you'd say that. You should be in love more often. I like this side of you." Eden joked. Kai laughed, and started walking out of the kitchen.
"You really do look stunning." Kai called.
"Thank you, Kai!"
Sage was seemingly sound asleep under the covers. Kai went to her bed, and got under the covers with her. He pulled her close to him, and stroked her hair. "You're comfy." He heard Sage mutter against his chest.
"Shush and go back to sleep." Kai whispered.
"You smell really nice." Sage said.
"You are very endearing when you're half asleep." Kai chuckled. Sage didn't say anything back.
"Your bed head is really cute." Kai whispered to himself, messing with her hair.
"It's really hard to fall back asleep when you keep talking so loud." Sage said, bluntly.
"Just wake up then. I wanna see your face." Kai retorted.
Sage slowly lifted her head up, and looked back at Kai like she wanted to murder him. "It's not fair that you get to look like that every morning. I look like a troll when I wake up," Sage whined, when she saw Kai. "And don't you say otherwise! Just let me be a ugly troll."
