Chapter 10

It's been a week later and now everyone knows about Shawn.
The police are looking for him and even though they don't have the insurance of finding him they keep on searching.
But of course before that Maya has a little bad news.

She knows that but much can happen but she can be wrong as well.
She couldn't tell what but she had a feeling something was going tk change a lot.
Maya was as for right now fifteen weeks pregnant and starting to show so she had to buy a few maternity clothes.

It was middle September and of course everybody was trying to forget about Katy and Shawn.
But for Maya that wasn't so simple.
She has been struggling with Raven for a few days and it just keeps on getting worse.
But she'll have to find out what exactly is going on.

It's a Tuesday morning and Josh had already left to see a client in Manhattan.
Maya had stayed behind to look after Raven and was busy with work in the office.
It was of course just paperwork but she couldn't get anything done.
Raven was acting really weird and of course she couldn't be able to help her.
It was just so far a fever but she was acting really weird.

Josh's patents were also ag the business for a few days and Maya tried to impress them but with Raven it wasn't likely.

It was late the morning and Maya heard a knock on her door then Allan appeared.

"And how is it going with my favourite daughters-in-law?"
"Funny. I'm good. But Raven is really acting weird. I think she is... I'm not sure," Maya said and stood up.
"Asleep?" Allan asked as Maya checked on Raven.
"No. Listen can I quickly slip out? I need to get her to the hospital just for a check-up. Something is really wrong," Maya said.
"Of course. I'll cancel all your appointments then you can have the day off," Allan said.
"Thanks Dad," Maya said and grabbed Raven.

Maya was getting used to calling Allan and Amy Dad and Mom.
She has just been married to Josh for a little more than two months but she most certainly wasn't new to the idea.
She did go to the hospital and immediately to Casualty.

"What's the case?" the doctor asked.
"Fever but its unusually high. She has been very weird these past few days as well," Maya said.
"109°. How old is she?"
"Thirteen months," Maya said and Raven started to cry.
"It's okay Raven," Maya said.

She quickly went through the backpack she had and got out a stuffed zebra.
She gave it to Raven as well as her pacifier.

"There you go," Maya said smiling.
"Okay I'll have to admit her and do some tests," he said.
"I'm gonna call my husband."

"Maya. Is something wrong?"
"I took Raven to the hospital. They are going to admit her," Maya said.
"It's that bad? Okay I'm on my way," Josh said.

"Okay as her mother you'll..."
"I'm not her mother. I'm her sister. My mother left us about five months ago. What do I need to fill in?"
