Chapter 12

It's been a few days since Raven has been admitted to the hospital and both Josh and Maya are still worried.
They know it can be cured but so much can go wrong.
And besides that they have to worry about telling everybody.
And they don't necessarily want to.
So they decided to keep it a secret.
For as long as possible.
Maya has been spending a lot of her time at the hospital and for now that is her first priority.
Her sister.
But according to Josh it isn't.
But she'll have to get used to it.

"Why don't you get some sleep?" Josh said as he walked into Raven's ward.
"I have this presentation to finish," Maya said as she yawned.
"Maya. You have to take care of yourself. It isn't just you tk think about now," Josh said and Maya looked at her husband.

She knew he was right but she didn't wanna leave Raven alone.
Not that she was alone.
They did get around to telling Allan and Amy and since then both have been in New York much more.

"Okay I guess I can get a few hours of sleep," Maya said and closed her laptop.
"Yeah you need it. Listen I'll stay here and when you get back we'll go grab a bite to eat. Everything will be fine," Josh said and kissed Maya on the head.
"Thank you," Maya said and was off.

Minutes after Maya left Raven woke up.

"Look who's awake," Josh said and sat down next to the one year old on the bed.
"Maya," Raven said.
"Maya went to sleep. What about the two of us do something?"

Raven got up from the bed and gave Josh a hug.
She was very close to him and Josh absolutely adored Raven.
It was like his own little sister and great practice for his own child.
But he has to admit he is getting scared of Maya.
She has always been very stable but lately she hasn't even been thinking about herself.
Which wasn't good for a fifteen week pregnant lady.
But it's Maya so she has always worked different than other woman.
