Maya has calmed down a lot and has been able to get everything together.
She just needed a few minutes.
But she did realise that Cory have been paying close attention to her.
She knew her best friend told her father.
"Maya," Cory said and Maya walked over to him.
"Yeah?"
"Are you okay? Riley told me..."
"I am now. I really am. I just had a bit of a breakdown but I'm fine. I promise," Maya said.
"Why are we here?" Allan asked and Maya cleared her throat.
"Well I have very exciting news. Josh wanted to be here as well but he had urgent business in Brooklyn to take care of. We went for a appointment on Monday for the baby," Maya said.
"And? Is everything okay?" Cory asked.
"More than. Baby Boy is fine."
"Baby boy? So it's a..."
"Yes Riley. I'm having a baby boy," Maya said.
"That's amazing," Riley said and gave Maya a hug.
"Yeah it is. We have a couple of things to do for this baby but knowing the gender is already very helpful," Maya said.
"I'm gonna have a baby nephew?" Cory asked and everybody laughed.
"Yeah an I'm going to be a mom of a little boy."
