"I don't wanna go", I yelled at my mum as she packed my clothes in a big travelling bag.

She had it placed on my bed while my closet was wide opened to give her full access.

She looked beautiful.

She has round brown big eyes, small lips and a English nose. I don't know where she got it from in our family gene but it looked perfect on her.

She turned around from the closest and frowned, her eyebrows perfect since it brings out her long black eyelashes.

She's 5'2" tall with a thick body that suits her chubby face perfectly.

She must be size 36 I suppose.

She looked up at me and her lips curved into a smile. She's definitely beautiful.

I guess James saw what I see in her everyday.

James and my mum have been together for a year now. In our African culture, when your single mother gets a boyfriend and wants to move in with him, you either go live with your grandparents or your father's family. Some mothers take you with them and puts together another family for you, which turns out great sometimes since you'll have two loving fathers.

I rolled my eyes knowing that it's true and I can't do anything about it.

It is her decision not to take me with her, James isn't a bad person so he might be a really loving step father.

"Your father will take good care of you", she smiled tossing more of my clothes in the bag.

"Im glad he still wants me", I leaned on the door frame, feeling all my energy drained from trying to convince her.

"You know your father loves you", she said sitting down  besides the traveling bag on the bed.

"Just that he chose a different path than ours", she stopped packing as she gazed into space in deep thoughts.

The reason I don't live with both my parents is because they got separated before I was born. From the story I heard, my father left my mother for another woman.

He cheated on my mother and his mistress got pregnant.

So, my father thought he was doing the right thing to be with his mistress due to her pregnancy. Unfortunately my mother was pregnant too and decided not to tell my father so he wouldn't change his mind.

Well, her plan would have worked but both my mother and father's families got involved in the matter and news came out that my mother is carrying me inside her.

Father couldn't handle the two pregnant women, he ended both relationships but only kept in contact with them due to their pregnancies. After I was born he continued to support me, I've had everything and still have everything that I need. I'm in the best school and I have a happy life with a father figure.

I get to visit him every school holidays, him and my brother Junior, since his mother left him on my father's door steps the day he was born.

JR “Junior” and I look alot alike. People even mistake us for twins. Some say it's because we the same height or something. Maybe we are twins since he's a month older than me. We took our looks from our father.
