The people you meet in your life won't always be nice or caring. There are terrible people in the world and you might never meet a person like that, but you'll meet many unkind people during your lifetime. When your life becomes complete hell, it's most of the time not your fault and there isn't really a way to avoid the problem or situation from happening. You can't predict the future. I tell myself that it's important to remember I did not have any way of knowing this would happen. Just like I had no clue what had happened on that horrible day.
My name is Rhee Iseul and I'm 14 years old. I've been wanting to be a kpop idol for years now and today I finally had the chance to audition. The name of the company is Style Entertainment. The company is small. It started around 6 years ago and their last group just disbanded. They had been quite popular with some big hits with the songs "A song for you" and "Farewell mother". I hadn't told my dad yet that I was auditioning for fear I wouldn't make it. If I become a trainee, then I'll tell him is what I had thought. I took singing lessons for about 3 years but I've been singing for years before that. The audition had taken place in my hometown, Suwon.
I still couldn't believe I'd passed. I had worked hard, practiced dancing, singing and I even tried to rap a few times. I had to sign some pages before I left and everything was a bit complicated but I was now a trainee. I didn't need to think about dropping out of school, I had already stopped going to school and was being homeschooled, my dad said I was learning 12th grade work already so it wasn't a problem. Now I just had to tell my dad.
I walked up to the door of my house and entered. The first thing I noticed is that it was quieter then normal. Most days, I would get home from hanging out with some friends to hear loud music playing and my dad and brother signing along to a popular song. Sometimes I would come into the kitchen and just start singing along. My big brother also was homeschooled but he's going to go to university in a year. His work ends around 4:00 so he's almost always home at this time. But the house was silent. I checked the kitchen first, empty. My father and brother weren't there. No one. I then started checking the bedrooms. My brother's room was empty, the bathroom was empty, my dad's room-. The room had the light on and the door is open a crack.
I walked over and opened it the rest of the way. I don't think I fully understood what I was seeing until about a minute passed. My brother was sitting on the floor, his hands covering his face. There was a clenex box beside him. I took another step and turned my head to the left. My eyes widened. My dad was laying on the floor, his hand was clutching his heart. That's when I understood. My dad wasn't breathing, his eyes were closed.
My dad had always had heart problems, although he kept saying he was okay. He went to the doctors regularly, he just didn't tell us. Either my brother, or I would notice medicine or pages that told us the truth, he wouldn't say anything about it when we asked.
"I'm okay." He would say.
"There's no need to worry."
But we were right to worry.
There's chapter 1, although it's more of an intro. I feel like a need to improve the beginning of this book because the chapters after this I like better but I don't know how. Any other writers feel like this? Thanks for reading and I hope you like this book!
