"What do you want to do for the last hour of 2019?"
My fellow members voices were talking cheerfully around me and I smiled. They were my family and I was happy to be spending time with them during the holidays, even though I saw them almost every day of the year anyway.
Our maknae And Siwwo were drinking grape juice in wine glases. I hadn't drank much of the wine I had in my glass, I didn't like wine.
"You not going to finish the wine?"
I looked up to see Owen.
"Oh, you can have it, no matter how many times I try it, it's still nasty!" I replied.
He smiled and took my glass.
I took a doughnut and started eating it. I could hear music playing in the background and the view of fireworks in the distance. This was peaceful.
"What do you want to do?"
I looked away from the window back to our small living-room. We had pillows covering the carpet and some of us were siting on them with blankets, eating cookies or chocolate. Owen was looking at me waiting for an answer.
"Wanna play in the snow?" I asked, a smile coming to my face.
"Yes!" Junsu exclaimed.
The other members nodded. We put on our coats and headed outside. It started to snow and I looked up at the stars. They were so pretty. A snowball hit me in the arm. I looked to see who it was that threw it. Leroy. I smiled and grabbed some snow. After making a snowball I threw it at Leroy, hitting him in the shoulder.
A snowball fight began. Thankfully it was soft snow because we all got a snowball in the face at least once. I chased after Zeke with a snowball thinking if this was what everyday was like, with this much freedom and feeling this peaceful, life wouldn't of been so bad. I guess this was normal to some people, to not feel scared all the time, to not feel stressed which came not because of work, but because of worry. I loved this feeling. I was momentarily free. No one owned me, I was my own person.
