When we arrive to the hotel, very carefully & slowly due to my leg, Cameron drops me off inside & I inform him that I can take it from here.
As soon as he leaves, I quickly limp over to the elevator & push the button & hop on up to the second floor.
Luckily, I don't see anyone from my family in the hall so I take it as a good sign until I open my room door to see Jess sitting on a computer chair on her laptop.
She's not in the room for most of the days in Los Angeles but the one day I break my leg, she decides it's a good day to "stay in"?She looks my way as soon as she hears the door click. "Oh my god! what happened to your leg?!"
I walk over to my bed, acting like it's not a big deal & it doesn't even hurt that much even though it's killing me. "Oh...nothing...just a little accident..."
My eyes narrow the room as I sit down on the bed."Nothing? Harley you have a huge black cast on your leg! where did you even get it? how did you even get it? where were you!" she screams.
This is what I was afraid of. All of the questions, but what am I suppose to tell her?
I plan on telling Logan about Rose first but very slowly because I don't know how to tell him yet."I promise you...it doesn't even hurt that bad..." I try to get into a comfortable position on the bed. "Ouch!"
My leg really isn't making anything easier for me."Doesn't hurt that bad huh? Harley you're in pain! do your parents know about this?" she screams.
I look over at her with an innocent look.
"So they don't huh?...JARED. KIM. Get in here!" she yells loud enough for everyone on this entire floor to hear.
"What is it?" my mom nervously asks running in. Her hair is a mess like she was in the middle of blow drying it.
My dad, Logan...& Rose follow in behind her.
"What happened to your leg?" Logan asks.
I look over to Rose, who's staring at me with an inncocent but frightening look.
"Did this happen when your father left you outside by yourself to fix the car?" my mother asks.
I try not to make eye contact.
I awkwardly look away because it was more of Rose's fault than my dads."It did, didn't it?" my mother half screams. "Jared! I told you she shouldn't be out there, fixing the car all by herself!"
"I'm sorry honey, I didn't think this would happen!" my father tries to defend himself.
"You didn't-you didn't think this would happen?" my mother says, in a mocking manner. "She's our daughter! you can't just leave her outside alone to fix a damn car!"
My parents start bickering back & forth & I can't stand it. Rose caused all of this but I can't say anything just yet.
Logan starts fighting with Jess as to why she wasn't watching me because we share a room together & soon the whole space around me is so loud I can't even think.
I watch Rose as she's just standing there, smirking."ENOUGH!" I scream startling everyone & causing them to stop yelling at eachother.
"I just...I just need some to time to myself" I say, my words coming out in a half whisper. My mom looks at everyone & gestures her head for them to leave.
When the room is finally clear & quiet I finally get a chance to just think to myself.
This day has really been a bummer. This is suppose to be a vacation, but here I am, in a huge cast, in severe pain.
I know for a fact now that it was no accident, Rose really meant to run me over with a car, or my arm anyway.
