The drive to his parents house isn't really long.
We just take a few turns, passing WhirlPool Studios & go straight until we see a neighborhood, which in Hollywood, isn't very common.

"You seem nervous. Don't be" Cameron blurts out, out of nowhere.

How does he know? i'm literally trying my best not be. I just don't know what to expect from a TV stars parents.

When we pull onto the street, some of these houses are really big & impressive. I look out the window & admire all of them.
Houses in Florida don't like this at all but houses in Canada are pretty big, I remember from when I visited Jess there once but there's also some old pictures of 7 year old me in my Canadian house & it looked pretty big.

His house somehow looks different from all the rest but I just can't figure out how or why.
When he parks onto the driveway, I slowly unbuckle my seatbelt while admiring how big his house is. It's beautiful.

Cameron gets out of the car & I do the same. I follow behind him as he walks up his patio.
He rings the doorbell once & leans against the wall with his arms & legs crossed.
After a minute or so, a girl opens the door in who I assume is his sister.

"Have you gotten taller or am I imagining things?" Cameron teases to his sister.

"Watch it. I'll be taller than you one day" she jokes back.

"Harley, this is my sister Maya...& Maya, this is...my...friend?...Harley" Cameron introduces.

I giggle at how frozen Cameron got when he didn't know what to introduce me as.
We're pretending to date but I don't know how we would be considered friends, I mean yeah we hang out a lot but i'm nothing compared to his Hollywood friends.

"Maya has just turned 17" Cameron tells me. "I told her to stop aging, she just doesn't listen" he laughs & Maya swats his arm.

Wow, a girl around this area that's actually my age. It's impressive because so far i've seen people way older than me or a few years older than me.

"Nice to meet you, Harley" Maya says & I see her give Cameron a "look".

When we walk inside, it's wide & decorated with furniture that looks more artsy than fancy.

"Oh! Cameron, I thought I heard the door!" a lady who I assume is his mother says.

"Harley, this is my mom...and that's my dad" Cameron says, hugging his mom while pointing to his dad who had just entered the room.

"So you're the girl Cameron kidnapped" his dad jokes, or so I assume.
He puts his hand out to shake mine.

"Oh don't listen to him!" his mother teases, looking at his dad. "Hi, i'm Libby, it's nice to meet you!"

"It's a pleasure meeting you" I nervously laugh.

"Pleasure"? did I really just say that? ugh.
His whole family seems to be jokesters & I don't know how to talk to them. I mean, they seem pretty normal, like casual parents & Cameron seems to be really close to them which is very rare in the Hollywood industry. Most families are ripped apart by divorce or the celebrity doesn't talk to his or her parents at all so I think it's just a shock to me how close Cameron is with them.

"So would you guys like some dinner? I was just finishing up in the kitchen" Mrs. Boyce tells us.

Cameron looks at me & then back to her, knowing the only thing I had today was a cup of coffee. "Yeah, we're starving".

"You always are" Maya jokes.

Cameron turns to her & says "Oh yeah?" in a mocking laughable way.
