Chapter 16.

When we get back to Cameron's studio, we walk inside to find his manager doing some research, he looks up to see us standing right in front of him, he looks like he's in his business mode. "Good. You guys are here. Something we need to discuss".

My eyes are puffy because a few tears did escape but I try to hide it & pretend to be at least a little happy, I don't want to seem like a downer.

"What is it?" Cameron asks.

We both go to sit down on the chairs in front of his manager.

"So...the pictures that were leaked on the web...went really viral...i'm talking massive!" he notifies us.

Why is he telling us this? I would rather not hear about it. People are probably pointing out my insecurities right now online because Cameron is famous & doesn't deserve anyone. I try not to let the hate bother me, but I can't help it.

"It was bound to happen at some point...wasn't it?" Cameron tells him. "I mean last time...it went pretty viral & the comments were pretty brutal..."

His manager gets up from his seat. "No, you don't get it...they love you guys together!"

I almost choke on my own breath. They love us together? but we aren't even together.

"What are you talking about? they didn't like us the first time they saw us in a picture together" Cameron says to his manager.

"Well...you see...in the first picture, they couldn't see her face...but...now that all these pictures got out, there's so many candid pictures of you helping her with the vehicle, laughing at Disneyland & there's even one of you wrapping her broken leg up in a cast which the viewers found so romantic!" His manager enthusiastically says.

"So what now?" Cameron tells him.

I stay quiet during all of this, I don't know what to say or do. I'm really shocked that everyone seems to love Cameron & I together if only they knew we weren't & I can't stop thinking about my parents, Logan & Jess. I want to know if they watched the security tapes & still believe Rose over me. I mean there's so much obvious proof that Rose was vicious. Including those reports that clearly states that she escaped from a mental institution from Russia & on top of that, pictures that were tooken without our consent is all over social media & people seem to love it?

Cameron's manager looks awkwardly towards Cameron & then at me before he continues talking. "Well...now...we gotta give the fans what they want...right?"

I look at Cameron. "What is he talking about?"
Cameron gives me an awkward look as well & frowns a little.

"I mean...you guys have to date for publicity" he continues. "The fans would love it!"

Did he really just say that? date for publicity? I don't think I can agree to that. That means I have to put my face out in the open & I don't think i'm ready for that. People would expect me to be something that i'm not.
"I-I don't think...I can do that..." I tell him.

He tries to convince me. "Why not? it'll be fun & good for your image!"

"I'm sorry...I can't...I should go"
I turn to run out of the studio while Cameron & his manager are still standing there. I still do have a family, even if they don't like me at the moment. I have to at least try to talk to them, I don't know what's gotten into them. Logan & I used to talk about everything together, he was the best big brother a girl can have...what did Rose do to change his mind about the best little sister a guy can have?
