After the princess' wonderful impromptu, Namjoon and I stood aside as the press took some photos of the royal couple. While the prince projected his usual formal smile for the media, the princess radiated her natural charm, beauty and her real persona. What you see is what you get.
After the short interaction with the press, the royal couple were led to the gallery, where they can look and speculate pieces of art. Limited people were allowed inside the gallery and mostly were the ones close to the royal family and people of prestige. I noted the presence of our prime minister's son and a quite familiar figure who did nothing but follow every move the prince and the princess did. Sipping from her glass of champagne which she had set aside afterwards, when she spotted me, she didn't hesitate to walk to where I silently stood as I watch the royal couple go around.
"Long time no see, adviser Min. I hope you don't mind me approaching you casually in public. After all, I'm no longer part of the circus."
Mari.
I shifted my weight, hands till linked together and simply smiled at her.
"Regardless, you shouldn't be talking to me like we are friends. Because we're not. One of the conditions given before you were accepted in the so called circus is for you to refrain giving the press an idea that you know any of the palace advisers nor the prince's assistants personally. I would appreciate if you can approach any of us in a formal way next time and be reminded of your status despite being the prime minister's niece."
What I firmly delivered obviously offended and angered her.
She stubbornly stood on her spot and in a dignified way, crossed her arms.
"Don't tell me what to do, adviser. You might have considered us as disposable whores but I have to openly tell you how much the prince meant to me. I am still in love with him. A woman, deeply in love is a dangerous kind, Min Yoongi."
She turned her back on me and walked back to where his cousin stood, apparently flocked by important people as well. I sighed and shook my head in dismay. Who would've thought that Mari will be a potential problem. I knew it was an empty threat but still it pains me to see the ugly outcome of what the palace had put themselves into when it comes to the younger prince's mistresses. If this comes out to the public, it'll be a huge scandal.
I slid my sleeve up to check the time, still early. Took one champagne from a passing servitor and walked around to see the art pieces myself. I don't want to stress myself out. Not today.

When the prince and the princess walked out of the gallery, a familiar face approached them.
"Hello, remember me?"
The prince was obviously taken aback while Charlie shared the same reaction. The way Mari approached the prince, sadly caught everyone's attention esp. the press as she had a loud voice and obviously intoxicated. What worried us most was when she possesively draped her arms on the prince's shoulders and attempted to kiss him. I was quick to pull her away but it was too late as she already made a scene.
"Let me go! Your highness... I love you. I still love you! Take me back and I promise to behave...Let go!!!"
Her cousin was quick to take her from my grip and tried to shush her. He worriedly looked at us and he knew the extent of damage done.
"Your highness, we need to go."
I led the couple away from the gallery where a buzz of chinwag have started around each corner. What Mari declared is already a stain that will ruin the prince's reputation. This is not good.
Once inside the palace limousine, the prince had a very stressed out demeanor. Charlie held him for comfort not uttering a single word.
"I didn't know Mari was there."
He muttered, worry can be detected from his face.
"I saw her earlier but I never expected her to be this bold."
Yoongi mentioned.
"We need damage control. The press was still all over the place when she made a scene. I need to call my father about this-"
"No,"
Yoongi opposed.
"We are his advisers. We will resolve this on our own... I'll call some people from the media broadcasting companies who covered the event. Of course people might talk about this but we need to prevent the photos from scattering."
I sighed;
"That woman...seriously."
The Prince crossed his arms.
"This is why events like this can jeopardize my reputation...I just hope the rest of my former mistresses wouldn't do such a thing."
I seriously eyed the prince;
"As for my half sister, you don't need to worry. She knows her boundaries. The other is situated in another country. The only problem we have now is that particular mistress and no one else. Weren't she told about the consequences of what she did back there?"
Yoongi furrowed his brows;
"My father and I handled these ladies. Of course they were given rules to follow. She obviously failed to do her part. Our concern here is to avoid photos for the whole country to feast at. The sanction she will face is already out of our responsibility. The royals will take care of that."
The prince still looked worried;
"I'm actually not worried about myself but about my parents and Charlie's reputation. If this turned out pretty ugly, I think our relationship with the prime minister will be in jeopardy as well. I am about to marry Charlie soon and I don't want her name nor her title to be tangled into this. Also I'm worried that people might find out about her former status...which started to be as a mistress."
We, Yoongi and I both shushed. He's right.
Charlie leaned her head on the prince's shoulder.
"Don't worry my love, everything will be alright. Don't worry about me..."
