I silently watched in morose as the prince held the sleeping princess' hand while he drifted. Distress and sadness still painted on his face. The Russian palace doctor's voice still resonated on my mind when he confirmed what we suspected and feared about.

'Your highness, I am saddened to deliver this news...but the princess had a miscarriage. Please allow her to have sufficient rest and avoid stressing her out.'

A child they already lost even before they even get to know him...or her.

"Yoongi. Inform our parents about this."

"Inform to what extent, your highness?"

I needed to make sure if  what part of the incident I should relay.  It would be proper that this very situation is personally delivered by the prince himself.

"Tell them... something happened."

I already caught what he meant. I didn't waste time and left the room.

"C-Charlie...sweetheart, how are you feeling?"

I quickly rose and was surprised to see her awake and what made me even worried is the way she looked on the other side, as she silently wept.

"H-hey..."

From a silent cry, she whimpered that I frantically pulled her in my arms.

"I heard everything...I lost my baby...our baby...it's all my fault. I didn't know and I wasn't careful. I swear your highness,  I didn't know and I'm so sorry...I wasn't careful...I'm a bad mommy."

Guilt, shame and sadness.

But self blame has to immediately stop.

It is a very dangerous place for one vulnerable heart to stay at.

I held her closer to me and pecked the side of her head;

"Sweetheart, hush down...it's not your fault...hush down, I love you...always remember that."

She frantically held my arms and worriedly eyed me;

"P-Please don't tell them...don't let them find out...they can't...I...please, promise me. This will be just between me you and adviser Min..."

I sadly eyed Charlie as panic consumed her. She looked so terrified that I wasn't even able to utter a word. My heart is aching so badly seeing the woman I deeply love in such a miserable state.  She shook my arms and painfully buried her nails in my skin as she wasn't getting a response from me.
