I wake up to my phone going off for text from an unknown number. I hesitantly open the message and see it's a message from Eli telling me good morning and that he hopes to see me today.
I smile to myself and wonder how he got my number. Probably from Gracie I'm sure. It's odd, going on a date and never exchanging numbers.
I text him good morning and that I hope to see him too.
I really do hope for that.
I get ready to take on the day. It took me about an hour for my hair to cooperate and my winged eyeliner to be precise. I've been here for about almost a week now and have hardly accomplished my sight seeing. With anticipation growing I grab my purse and my phone to head out.
As I open the door to leave I see Eli standing there with flowers.
I stop in my tracks and look at Eli and shake my head smiling. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I figured since I didn't bring these to last night, that I needed to today." He hands them to me and I admire them. "And it gave me a reason to see you sooner."
"Thank you, they are lovely!"
I can tell he's nervous. "Let me put these in some water. I think there's some sort of vase in here." I turn back into my room and he follows. I dig around in the curio cabinet near the mini fridge and find some glass container that seemed tall enough for a vase. I fill it with water and place the flowers in it and place it on my night stand.
I look over to Eli and smile. I walk over to him and kiss him. It took him completely off guard. I back off and hold my fingers to my lips. Embarrassed. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that." He looked at me and walked closer to me and put his hands around my waist and kissed me.
He leads me to the bed without breaking our lips. I want this.
