Emma broke our kiss and said she was going to take a shower. She kissed my cheek before leaving our room.
I'm really worried about her. She wants us to move as soon as we can to another apartment. She's under so much stress right now which isn't good for our babies. I only made things harder by not holding her hand and guiding her back through our apartment for the first time since last nights incident. She faced something alone. Again.
I made a promise that I would never leave her and that's how she felt just by me not leaving a damn note. Right now she's not acting like herself. I know she went through an ordeal, but I miss her. I miss her laugh... her smile... her sarcastic comments. I miss everything about her.
My thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door.
Annie and Jonathan.
"What are you doing here?" I'm exhausted.
Annie immediately answers "I messed up big time and need to talk with you and Em. Ryan is going to go looking for Emma and it's all my fault. You can't leave her side! You need to make sure she's always with someone! You don't know what he's capable of." I let out an huff and roll my eyes.
"Well, you're a little late for that."
Annie's face falls. "Eli, what are you talking about? Where's Emma?" And she moves me out of the way and starts calling for Emma.
