Chapter 10

I drunk me a couple of more cups of wine and headed to Raven's room before I went to bed. I knocked on the door and waited for her to respond.

"Raven it's me. Are you ok?"

"Yeah I'm fine."

"Can I come in?"

I heard her walking to the door and she opened it. She didn't even look at me. She walked back to her bed and sat on the side.

I sat next to her and put my arm around her.

"It's gonna be fine sis. Trust me. I will not let them ruin our day. This is about us not them."

"I know that. I'm just tired of all the shit that they put us through you know. This has been going on for years now. All they do is peck on me and you. What about that bitch Anika. What makes her so different?"

"Well you have to think about it. Anika kiss their ass. She is what they want us to be. She's light skinned and small. We are the opposite. And that makes them mad. You know how they are about their quote unquote image."

"So what you trying to say Amber? We fucking up their image?"

"Sad to say but yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. They don't care about us like that cause we are not their type of women."

"That's fucked yo. We are their kids just like her bougie ass. So we get treated bad because we got more meat than her? Or cause we darker? Bull shit."

"I know Raven. It's dumb to me too. But that's all the more why we need to bring it tomorrow. Make them see what we on our shit."

"I know and we are. I just don't get why we can't have the same love as them."

Amber hugs her and kisses her on the cheek.

"I love you baby girl. You are my sister and I got your back. You hear me?"

Raven smiled and nudged her.

"Yeah I hear you. Now can you tell me who you went out with last night?"

"Hell no. We ain't that mussy that I will tell you yet."

"Damn Amber that ain't fair. You tell me everything. But you can't tell me that?"

"Nope." Amber said popping the p on it.

"Since you so hung up on who I went out with, what about you? If I may recall you did go on a lunch date with someone didn't you?"

"Ah Hell no. If you can't me, I can't tell you shid."

They both laughed and hugged again.

"I love you sissy." Raven said.

"And I love you too. Besides you don't have a choice but to love me."

"Get your ass out my room hoe." Raven said laughing.

Amber got up and laughed. She walked to the door and turned around.
