Theme: It's been six years that you has spent without Jimin. Six years since the blonde boy left you to pursue his dreams. Since he hasn't called, texted, or even attempted to contact you, you decided to move on.
**Its been a long time since that dreadful memory of the boy you once loved invaded the depths of your mind. But last night the dream flooded back into your mind when you slept. It hurt like hell to remember that same boy— Park Jimin— from your hometown that you hopelessly fell head-over-heels in love with.
The dream was always the same—Jimin would be staring at you on the other side of the bed saying he loved you and making you promise to save yourself for him. You accepting the stupid promise, completely ready to keep it, and then him vanishing the next day with out one trace except for his favorite artist's tour shirt— G-Dragon, but that's unimportant.
You were young, stupid in fact, and believed every word the elder boy promised you. Now that you're older, you realize his words were filled with lies and all the promises he made were broken. So broken and terrible for a younger person like you to have faith in, but you did and now you're shaped and never to be tricked again.
The memory is gone from your mind when you get up to check your computer for online mail. It's full of junk but one email has you questioning the life in Busan you live and a life a Seoul you could be living, and another that has you wanting to crawl in a hole and die.
The first email is an email from an entertainment company offering you a job— in Seoul— that has you jumping up and down like an excited teenager again. And then the second... Keeping it short, it's a news report that you wouldn't have been bothered to check if it didn't say his name. It explains that he's getting married to an actress, and that explains why he hasn't responded to you in the last six years. The article talks all about him and her and their wedding that is occurring in a few months. Only the most famous people invited. It seems to hurt more because you still keep in contact with his parents, and they haven't said anything about it. You really want to cry.
But you don't, instead you move to reply to the job offer, accepting of course. Getting out of your dead-end job and transferring your college to the University of Seoul, you suck in a breathe and prepare for your new life.
••
You leave the following week, on the train, and pack whatever you can carry. The job is really amazing because they'll give you a place to live and will help you get settled into Seoul— you having checked via email before moving.
When you arrive in front of the building, it's humongous with 'Big Hit Entertainment' in white letters and circles above the I's. It's professional and probably a very experienced company with the music industry. So you exit the taxi, fully attending to walk straight in with confidence and definitely not getting hit by a car. Luckily you don't. You make it to the other side.
Instead of bumping into a fast moving car, you hit a person head on and it sends you bags tumbling to the ground with a loud thud. You grunt out an apology and go to pick it up but the man gets it quicker. He's wearing a white mask that covers his mouth and nose and huge sunglasses on his eyes. He looks around before taking your bag inside, you rush after him with so many questions but he doesn't seem to mind. He puts down your bag and removes the coverings on his face, and his deep brown eyes gaze into your soul as his mouth curves into a dimpled smile. His hands is out and waiting for your's to shake. "I'm Kim Namjoon."
••
You went to the company, and the Namjoon guy offered to take you around the town after your boss said the position wouldn't start for another two weeks. She gave you the details of the apartment and job, filling you in on everything that wasn't explained over email, and letting Namjoon take you around the town. He handed you a mask and sunglasses almost identical to his. You put them on when he explain his position as an idol and completely understood how his life was on display for the whole world. Of course he didn't want any scandals and this was a way to prevent them, so you obliged to his wishes.
He made you feel so special that day that you couldn't help the urge you had to sleep with him when he brought you back from the Seoul Aquarium. Stumbling into your apartment with him attached to your lips, you did it right there. You also did it the next morning when you were making him breakfast. And then the following days until the two weeks were up, and work was starting up for both of you. It was purely a sexual relationship, mostly because you knew he was an idol and a relationship would cause a lot of drama. This thinking caused you to think of him, the boy you were still— even now— hopelessly in love with.
Namjoon walked you to the company, mask and all, and without causing any passer-byes to see, laced his fingers with yours. It was cute, and it helped numb the feeling in your heart, so you accepted the gesture gratefully. And then you reached the entertainment, walking in to take your mask off, and then spotted him.
He looked the same besides the different colored hair he wore so well. The pang in your heart no longer numb but hurting a hell of a lot more. He spotted you as well and froze, a guilty expression overtaking his attractive features. It hurt, everything hurt, and Namjoon was walking up to him, hugging him like he knew him. He probably did, too, and now he's looking at you gesturing you over to meet the boy that left you alone five years ago.
"[Y/N] this Jimin, he's apart of K-pop group I'm a leader of." You nod your head mindlessly trying to take everything in. The abandoned feeling becoming a lot more evident listening to Oppa Joonie— a nickname you started calling him in bed— ramble on.
You shake Jimin's hand trying to forget that he broke your heart and is in the process of breaking it once again. Firmly gripping his soft fingers that are currently sending unwanted tingles throughout you, you shake and fake smile to not raise any questions for Joon.
Namjoon apologizes when someone calls him to look at something, telling you he'd be right back, leaving you with Jimin. He's looking at you with a sad expression and when Namjoon leaves your smile drops.
"Never thought I'd see—"
You stop him instantly with your hand. Finally seeing him and hearing his explanation is overwhelming, so you tell him this instead: "If you tell Namjoon about anything that might of happened when we were younger, I will kill you."
He's shocked at your mean words and face like he wasn't expecting this outcome from a sweet girl he was in love with. But things change especially when someone breaks a heart that wasn't theirs to begin with. Instead he nods his head, mouth now completely zipped except when he says something else: "I won't. I just hope one day you can forgive me for the mistakes I made when I was younger."
You don't care about anything that's coming out of his mouth, all you care about is the cheerful Namjoon bouncing back over to you. And not caring that you're in the middle of the lobby you take Namjoon's hand, intertwining your fingers and walking him away from the boy you used to love.
