If I could change one thing about my life, it would be that night, the night I met Charles. God now my son has to pay for his father's mistakes. I'm so mad that I just need to talk to someone, someone that would listen, without asking questions.

I get my keys and drive to the cemetery. When I get there, I go to my mother's gravestone. I sit down and clear her grave of all the leaves. I sighed....... I just wished that she was here, she
would know what to do.
"Hey mom. Oh how I wish you were still here, physically." I had tears in my eyes, I haven't been here since the funeral. "I wish.... that..... I could ask you what I should do. I wish that Noah got a chance to know you. I miss you so much mom. And yes...... I've been dealing with anxiety and depression, but............... I just want you here, even if it's for a second...... I just want to hug you and tell you that I love you." I close my eyes for a second and reminisce. I remember when I was a kid and how she would read me my favorite book before I went to sleep and how she would kiss my forehead.

"I miss you mom." I got up, and stood in front of her grave.
"Bye mom."
I drove back to Charles house. When I was inside, I saw Charles in his office talking to someone on the phone and the police standing around him. "What's going on? Who is he talking to?" I mumble to Zoe.
"Ana, she called saying she wants something." I waited until the call was done before going inside.
"So did you get where she was calling from?" Adam asked the police officer.
"Yes, three miles from here." The police officer replies.
"She said she'll hand over Noah in exchange for money.....and that it has to be Natalie..alone." Charles says. They all turned to face me.
"Ok, I'll go." I say.
"Natalie it could be a trap." Michael hissed.
"I don't care, I'll do anything to get my son back."

"Okay then, It's settled. Natalie will go in but she'll also have cameras and wires on her so she'll be set. Once you get Noah, you get out of there as fast as you can." The officer explained. I nodded as they started putting the cameras and other things on me.

We drove to the address she gave and it was in the middle of the woods. There were police everywhere. I was in the car with Charles, while Michael, Zoe and Adam were with the police. When they told me I was good to go, I was getting ready to climb out the car, when Charles pulled me back and kissed me, but I didn't kiss him back. I hopped out the car, and didn't look back. I grabbed the money and then made my way towards the house. When I walked in, I immediately saw a crib in the middle of a room. I ran to it quickly but was disappointed when I saw that it was empty.
"I told you that he's fine. He's a nice child, doesn't cry a lot."
I turned to see Ana with Noah in her hands. I walked over to where she was and dropped the money on the ground in front of her.
"Ok, I did my part, now it's your turn." She sighs and hands me Noah, I hug him so tight and don't let go.

"How do I know it's all there?" She blurted. "You can count it if you want. It's all there, I promise. Can I go now?" I say, trying to walk towards the door but she blocks me, she also has a gun with her.
"No. Not yet." She pleaded.
"You have the money what else do you want?" I yelled. She walked to where I was and pulled my hair to bring my face close to hers.
"I won't let you go, not yet." My heart skipped a beat.
"Why? You have the money. Look all I want is to be with my son, that's all." I begged.
"No....... Charles doesn't deserve someone like you in his life, or Noah."
"I don't give a damn about Charles, I only want my son that's it. Can I go now?" She reaches for her gun and points it at me, but shoots upwards.
I immediately closed my eyes and was brought back into my memories of all the shooting that happened when I was in Iran. All the blood and lives that were lost. I then realized that I was having a panic attack, so I shook my head an opened my eyes, but when I did, Ana was on the ground, dead. I saw police inside and Charles with a gun in his hand.
"You shot her?" I asked him. He drops it real quick and comes running to me.
"It had to be done." He whispered.
