2( Soulmates?

(annie's pov)

we're walking up to my house

still hand in hand

I really like johnny. but i don't know yet

johnny: you live here?

he says while i get out my key

annie: yeah why?

johnny: no way

I give him a look

a "what are you talking about?" kind of look

johnny: i live right there

he says  pointing at the house beside me

annie: how convenient?

I say as the door opens and we walk inside

(johnny's pov)

her house was really nice. she walked toward the island in the kitchen and set down her keys.

johnny: nice crib

annie: don't ever say that again

we both laughed and started walking upstairs to annie's room

she plops down on her bed and sighs while i sit on a chair in front of her desk

annie: so

johnny: so

annie: what do you want to do?

I shrug

annie: you're very helpful

she says sarcastically

(about an hour passes)

we decided to watch the movie waterboy

because we both love that movie

we were about an hour in and i feel annie's head fall on my shoulders

I looked at her and realized she was asleep

why must she be so adorable?

I carried her to her room and put her on her bed

I was about to walk out and go home

then i hear annie

annie: don't leave, stay

johnny: where am i gonna sleep anns?

she patted the bed beside her

I was a little hesitant

annie: i don't bite

I smile and lay beside her

annie: goodnight johnny

she says half asleep

johnny: goodnight annie

(annie's pov)

(flashback)

dad: ANNIE RUN!

I start running as fast as i can

but then slow down because i noticed my dad didn't follow me out

I try to run inside but a boy grabs my arm

he looked familiar

extremely familiar

boy: where are you going

annie: i need to get my dad

boy: i can't let you go back in there

tears start falling down my cheeks

then boom

the museum explodes

I was knocked down because the explosion was so big

I see my mom on the ground and I go help her up

annie: mom

mom: yes honey

she looked at me with sad eyes. that's when i knew

I turn and see the boy from earlier

he was crying

I gave him a hug

a long hug

(end of flashback)

I jump up, and start breathing heavily

before i knew it

i was crying

johnny: hey, hey....what's wrong

he said while giving me a hug

I explain everything to him

about the fire

why we moved here

everything

he gives me another hug

and i look at him

he looks a lot like the boy in my dream

then it hit me

it was him

johnny was the boy from the fire

annie: y- you helped me

johnny: huh?

annie: you stopped me from going back in th- the fire

he looks at me

his eyes get big

johnny: you were the girl that gave me a hug after

I nod

(johnny's pov)

I stand up

And start panting

I couldn't believe it was annie the whole time

annie: you okay?

johnny: y-yeah

I pause for a couple of seconds

johnny: that's crazy

annie: i know

johnny: it happened so long ago and we meet exactly seven years from that day

annie: i didn't even realize today was the seven year "anniversary"

johnny: it's kind of like

johnny: we were meant to meet again

annie: yeah. It's like we're-

she stops for a few seconds. then starts again

annie: we're soulmates

johnny: exactly

I really like annie

but i don't think she likes me back

and even if she did i wouldn't want to rush things

annie: we should probably go back to sleep, we have school tomorrow

I look at the time

2am

I guess i'm going to be tired tomorrow

johnny: you're right

I say as i get back into the bed and eventually fall asleep
