Let's Just Pretend

My things are all in. Before I leave, I decided to call ate Dien, but before I could call her my phone rang. It was Ate Dien's name pop up on the screen. Bigla akong kinakabahan, my heart beats rapidly at the thought that she might know about that fucking issue.

"Hello Ate, your such a mind reader! I was about to call you." I sighed. Hindi ko pinahalatang may problema ako deep inside.

"Mind reader pala ako huh!" Ate said sarcastically. "Pero sa lahat ng mind reader ako ang pinakapalpak dahil hindi ko alam kung anong napasok sa isip mo at nagpapakuha ka ng ganong litrato and for God sake pinayagan mo pang mai-published sa newspaper." she exclaimed.

"A-ate, I don't mean it." my tears are already started falling. "Let me explain everything, listen to my side first before you conclude." I beg while I wipe my tears out as if there's someone sees me crying.

"I don't know what happen to you Cath, you've change a lot. Hindi na ikaw yung Cathrine na kilalang-kilala ko noon." sabi niya sa kabilang linya.

"Ate, It's not what you think. It's just a coincidence. Niligtas niya ako ng muntikan na akong mapahamak, then lately he invited me to come with him to a gathering, as anything in return I granted him." I explained everything to her.

"So, paanong may litrato kayong ganun and you let it be published?"

"Ate hindi ko yun sinadya. He kissed me and we didn't notice that there's a photographer. Huli na ang lahat, nakuhaan na kami ng litrato tsaka nagmamadali itong umalis." I cried. "I'll go home now ate, diyan ako dederitso." I said and wipe my tears away.

"Okay, make sure you won't make another injudicious things. Take care Cath, bye."

"Thanks ate, bye." the call ends.

I put my phone on the pocket of my bluffer. I was about to open the door when someone knocked loudly. I opened it.

"Mabuti't ready kana, let's leave!" si Ivan na parang nataranta.

"What? Anong let's leave? Ako lang hindi ka kabilang!" sabi ko sa kanya.

"Stop it Cathrine." saway niya. "May mga reporter na nag-aabang sa atin sa baba and they might blocked you kaya mabuti ng tumakas tayo." aniya.

"Edi harapin natin sila! And let's tell them the fucking truth so that they will know what's the real thing here and not the damn fake one!" litong-lito na ako but I try to act like I'm not and decide.

"Di mo ba naisip na masira ang pagka -tao mo kung gagawin mo iyon! Think it a thousand times Cath, people might judge you and say some wrong things against you." he said. Bigla akong napaisip. 'Oo nga pala no, they might think that I'm that desperate to do that thing just to gain popularity and save my career.No! I cant let them pero teka, kani-kanina lang galit si Ivan sa akin pero bakit ngayon parang nag iba na naman. Nalilito na talaga ako.'

Sa gitna ng aking pag-iisip ay bigla siyang nagsalita. "I've decided, let's just pretend for the mean time Cath."

"If I don't." wala sa sarili kong sagot. "Wait, what pretend do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"Let's say that ipapalabas natin na tayo na and by that matagal na tayong magkakilala, so that they will stop attacking on our morals."

"The fucking hell! No way! I can't create another issue with you again." I said hysterically.

"Cath, easy. Palabas lang naman yun! Don't be so over acting."

"I'm not!" I hissed and walk near my room's door to leave when his muscular body blocked my sight while holding my hands, stopping me to leave.

"Please let me go Ivan!" sigaw ko.

"I will but promise me first that you agree on my idea. It's for our own good Cath." he explained in a calm manner.

"Okay, deal but make sure that after this issue you don't bother me anymore." I make it as a deal pero ayaw yata sumang-ayon ng puso ko. What the hell is happening with me!

After our argument bumaba na kami sa unang palapag ng hotel. When we arrive dinumog agad kami ng mga reporters at photographers, ang iba ay mga familiar sa akin. Nakakahiya. Buti't may mga bodyguards si Ivan na pumigil sa kanila. Flashes are anywhere and everywhere, they have so many questions about our relationship status but I don't even bother to answer any of them. I stayed silent.

"Ms. Chavez, is it true that you and Mr. Ramirez are already engaged?" a familiar voice asked. I turn to see who it is and there! That fucking face! I can't believe that our EP will sent a reporter to conquer this case  at si Lexin pa talaga.'What's in the world?'
